We had a very peaceful stay. It rained most of the time we were there but very soft good sleep rain. No problems at all and close enough to town that we were able to sample some of the restaurants. Make sure you go to Almost on the Lake it is only about a mile away. In town we ate at the Hilltop restaurant. They have the best fried white fish.

Sites are clean and most are roomy; lake access is good; staff cordial…has become my favorite NC campground!

Very nice facilities. Hosts were fantastic. Wish they'd fix the weird patio arrangement where your neighbors sit behind your rv.

12 A is a great camp site, lots of room, easy to back in, wooded with obscured view of reservoir and near rest rooms, but not too close. Rest room were clean. Showers could use more hooks and/or shelves for change of clothes. Direct access to OVT trail head and boat ramp.

There are a lot of hiking trails in the area, although we had trouble finding them. I think they had been washed out in places from the overabundance of rain. It is a nice park and using the app to reserve is so easy.

Site was HUGE!! Even though the weather did not cooperate we had a great time here! Clean and quiet!

Great place but this year they had quite a bit of flood damage, and half of the bathrooms were closed. Not their fault. One of our favorite places!
