The campground was quiet and the location on the lake was nice, but the pull-through site (# 37, as I recall) was extremely unlevel. We had to reverse our RV and use all our leveling blocks to even approach being level enough to sleep .

Love Bandits Roost...it's local to us & always a good way to break in the camper for the season.

This was our first COE campground and it did not disappoint. The campground is beautiful. Well definitely be back during summer and bring kayaks.

Bandits Roost is a very clean and enjoyable campground. Camping spots are nice . Most spots have good privacy.

We camped 4 nights in space 37 in September 2022. Some people complained about the lower part of the site (in previous reviews) but we loved it for walking our dogs. We had a great view of the lake in site 37. We were able to get a signal for our portable TV dish and we had good Verizon cell service at this site. The other thing we liked was being close to Wilkesboro for shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed the hiking trails, especially down by the dam. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. This is a great Corp of Engineers park and with the parks pass, very affordable.

Not a big fan of having the fire pit and table on a different level than our van. Some of the neighbors were noisey well after dark. Next time we'll book earlier and choose a different site

Beautiful campground. Bathrooms clean and near all the sires. Perfect environment to relax and enjoy peace and quiet. Sites are good size and have everything you need except sewer. So glad we live so close, this is our go to place whether for a few days or a weeks vacation

This is our favorite 'local' camping spot. Especially during the week when it's quieter.
