Bathhouse needed updating. Overall it was dirty. Campsite had lingering trash laying around. Lake was beautiful. Could have used more signage.

Best campground in area. Bob and Peg Bundy are the best. They are so friendly and helpful. Bob amazes me how he keeps each spot cleaned up for next arrival. He even pressure cleans the picnic tables and cleans out the fire pits. Bath houses are kept clean and we feel very safe at Bandits Roost. Campers are mostly open for conversations. Access to campground is very easy and managable.

Weve been camping at Bandits Roost for about 10 years, once or twice every year. We were disappointed on this trip with the following: there was trash on our campsite when we arrived, there was no liquid soup in the dispenser in the Ladies room on loop B until Sunday (although I complained about it to the staff at the kiosk on Friday afternoon) and the trash dumpster on Loop B was overflowing with trash stacked up on Friday morning ahead of a busy weekend. The trash dumpster was filled even higher on Sunday afternoon when we left.

Always clean. Large spacious lots under shaded trees. Pleanty of trails for walking or hiking. Bathhouses kepted up if you need it. Quite and relaxing atmosphere

Really enjoyed our stay, just a couple of things that keeps me from giving an excellent rating.
1. Too much smoke from adjacent campfires. Not sure if the wood that was available had not been seasoned long enough. Although the weather was beautiful during our 3-night stay we were unable to leave our windows open much of the time due to smoldering campfires.
2. The contractor for cleaning the bathhouse neglected to fill the soap dispenser all three days we were there. I did ask the park attendant on day 3 and he contacted the contractor and they did promptly take care of it. If I had not complained I feel they would not have filled it. Cost-saving measure?
