Stayed 5 nights in site 75 in the B loop. Volunteer at the gate was very friendly when we checked in. Site was nice and in good shape. Relaxing location with most things you need nearby in Wilkesboro.

We always enjoy Bandit's Roost. This time we stayed in site #75, close to the shower house and the marina. The site is deep and private. Other family stayed across the street and we had a great time. As always, staff was friendly, and the park was clean and well-maintained. We like being able to purchase firewood at the campground for a reasonable price.

Loved the large campsites, ton of glorious fall trees/color, good quiet time at night, and beautiful lake!

Nice level and shaded site in section B. Quiet and nice to walk. When I went to book a site the website showed almost no availability and I felt lucky to land a 3 night stay midweek. Was upset to see a huge number of empty sites available during my stay that apparently people had reserved and then failed to cancel.

This campground is in dire need of maintenance and the contractor hired to perform the maintenance does more damage with their equipment than they fix. I saw many widow makers next to campsites and many broken limbs hanging over the sites including mine. There is no enforcement for barking dogs and rowdy groups. Also no speed enforcement on the roads. Ive camped at Bandits Roost since childhood and Im really disappointed at how bad the campground has deteriorated ever since the COE crews stopped performing the maintenance. There is very little Ranger patrol compared to just a few years ago. The dog noise has gotten out of control. Its like camping at a animal shelter. Also the maintenance contractor is using large aggregate crusher run on the campsites. This should never be placed in a campsite area. The aggregate is so large that it causes twisted ankles and makes setting up camp difficult not to mention the fines track everywhere on our shoes when wet. The large aggregate punched holes in our camp rug. I have mentioned this to campground staff several times but it has fallen on deaf ears. 78m stone is for campsites. Not 2 crusher run. Lets take this constructive criticism and make Bandits Roost the campground that it once was.

We were on loop B and had a slight problem with the camper that prevented us from getting out and about during the time we were there. The loop B campground is wonderful! We were at site 75, and it offered a bit of seclusion from the main road. The showers/toilets were down the hill, there were stairs down if one doesn't want to walk the road to get there. Didn't use the showers, but they appeared clean, and there are two toilet stalls. We will definitely return!

Great park for RVers. Many site to choose from that are wide and long enough for larger RVs. Most sites are wooded and private. Friendly staff.

A well run campground. Nice level lots. That are on the B side deep covered with lots of shade. We always enjoy our time there. Easy to reserve if you are early enough or flexible.
