This was a last minute trip. The site was nice, but little area next to the camper. The space to site under our awning was right against the camper, and no room for people to walk past. There were about 13 steps down to a nice area with picnic table, and fire pit. That area was nicely shaded. Easy walk to shower house. The day the dumpsters are dumped be prepared to be work up early by the noise. Not our favorite spot, but it wasnt awful. If you have children it is close to the swim area which is nice.

only had a 1 night stay as we were traveling through, but hope to return---we even walked the campground to pick out our favorite sites for a potential future visit.

I have been full time travel for 3+ years and have become convinced that the federal and state parks are by far superior to any private RV park or resort. Bandits is absolutely the best suited to my needs and my dogs interest. The reservoir is so clean and accessible for swimming for both me and the 115 K9 buddy I travel with. Wilkesboro is an easy drive to any conveniences I may need. The town has several places to play Pickleball 7 days a week. I will be returning to that blue ridge foot hills location annually.

Nice park but sites a bit uneven. Nice views of the lake. Good cell service. Wish had sewer.

There is a lot of poison ivy in the park, be careful. Also, the beaches at sites can have trash, please do your part to pick it up. The sites are good, some are tight and if your patio area is below the pad area for the RV seems narrow. There is adequate parking at the boat ramp BUT ample boat trailer/tow vehicle parking at the sites.

We enjoy this campground because it is so relaxing and stress free. The views of the lake and woodlands are Spectacular, and the staff members are friendly and helpful!

Great family campground! Clean bathhouses and most campsites are good size. Enjoyed fishing in lake! One of my favorite spots for camping!

I love Bandits Roost, I've stayed there may times. I love that you can leave your boat in the water and you can get in go. I've stayed at some camp grounds where you have to pull your boat in and out of the water every time and thats no fun. Very clean and maintained. Can't wait to go back again!!
