The place was very clean and I enjoyed my stay. One thing I could recommend is one more bathhouse. Theres only one close enough to tent campers and theres only two stalls. I had to wait in line to shower.

Great lil camping site not too far from home or amenities. Clean bathrooms with soap and hand towels 👍 and tent sites are large with privacy. I’m

We stayed at one of the tent sites (no electric, water nearby). These sites have a nice graveled pad with table, grill etc with good shade and are nicely spaced from the other sites. The best thing about these sites is that they are adjacent to both the lake (can portage kayaks directly from the site) and the MTB trail. Although the OVT entrance from the campground was closed this time due to beaver activity, it was only a few minutes drive down to the visitor's center to access the other end of the trail. We were a little disappointed to see the amount of trash around the lake and the campground, but to be expected with the sheer amount of usage.

I rented a tent spot for my son and his family. I understand due to nature, trees may need to be cut down. My problem, my son had to remove everything they had set up, move it to another site. Set it all back up again, and only after one night, was made to remove all they had set up again on the other site and take it all back to their original site. Then have to set it all back up again! So a total of 3 times setting it up and 3 times putting it down! I understand the tree needed to be cut down but don’t know why it hadn’t been during the off season. I know for a fact it could’ve been done then because of a comment that was made by someone. My son has two boys, one is 3 and the other is 4. My son also had gout in his ankle and both sites had several sets of steps. Before they were made to move back, I went to the office to ask if they could please just stay on that site. I told them about how hard it was for them to have to move everything again because of the little boys, his bad foot and dealing with the steps on both sites. Couldn’t they assign their old spot to the ones that rented the spot they were on now so they wouldn’t have to move it all again. I was told, “Well that’s not right, we don’t want to inconvenience those people. They paid for that site.” So, on my husband and my “relaxing vacation” and my son and his family’s “relaxing vacation”, we moved them several times. Believe me, it was hard to feel like it was a relaxing vacation when they were having to move and we had to help because of the little ones and his bad foot! We paid for the site just like the other people but they sure didn’t mind the inconvenience it caused all of us! The staff member tried to be nice about it but also made me feel dumb for even asking about it. It wasn’t a good camping trip, it’s hard to feel like you’re on vacation when you’re having to work so much! Please plan better! Thank you.
