We come to the Wilksboro area every year to attend Merlefest, which is an excellent roots music festival that lasts 4 days with 12 stages featuring some of the best folk, bluegrass, singer/songwriter in the country. The last several year we have been camping at Kerr Scott reservoir. This year we were at Warrior Creek campground. The facilities were nice. The site was very large. the rest rooms and showers are above average, and well maintained. We have a small pop-up camper, but there is room for any kind of RV or trailer.

This was a great place. We stayed at site 44. There is so much space between sites it’s a wonderful change from other campgrounds that stack you on top of each other. There are many trails to take advantage of. We used it as a stop to enjoy North Wilkesboro Speedway. Would definitely recommend this campground. You can’t beat the price. We will be returning.
