This was our first time at Warrior Creek since 2020 because of the ongoing repairs. We enjoyed the privacy of the tent site (#5) and the nice view. 'Because of the storms coming through, we had adjusted the timing of our stay and we enjoyed good weather. The park was clean in every place including the vault toilets, the shower house, and the sites themselves. The only reason I gave this park a 3 rating is because the swim beach is just a disaster. There is a good deal of sand on much of the beach, but there are places near the water that are just mud. The lake bottom on the beach is just nasty -- much gooey clay, embedded with sharp sticks, and if you're not careful you can lose a swim shoe trying to get out to the deeper water (only 4' this year). The water level was so low that my 9 and 11-year-old grandkids could walk out to the furthest pole/marker without going over their heads. The yellow floating barrier at the outermost area of the swim beach was missing. I was disappointed that, with all the other repairs, the beach area was not dredged out and repaired to offer a better swimming experience.

The camp is great. It's very scenic and quiet. The staff member at the gate was helpful and polite. The bathroom and shower was nicer than I expected and very comfortable. It wasn't swim weather when we camped, but the beaches that we saw didn't look very useful. Maybe for young children, but not teens or adults as the area was very small and roped off very close to shore. We were disappointed with the firewood we bought from the campground. It was wet and would not burn no matter how much kindling we used and how high the flame from the kindling was. The logs just smoked, hissed and would not catch fire. The wood was green and I didn't know better at the time. They should not have sold us green wood, though I know what to look for next time. We did bring charcoal and cooked on the grill that each sight has.

We enjoyed our stay at Warrior Creek. The restrooms are clean and the folks are friendly. I would recommend Warrior Creek.

It was such a nice campsite! My only complaint is the spiders in bathhouse and in the little shed in camp sight. But we Had a blast!! We will be back

Very nice campground. Bath house was very clean. I wish they had trash cans on every site. It was very cumbersome to haul trash off to the dumpster. The fishing piers and beach area were nice. The weekend we stayed, there was a power outage nearby and the gate to get out could not be opened for about 2-3 hours. There should have been an override or a manual way to open the gate. Very friendly staff. We would definitely stay again.
