This place has a ton of potential but fell far short of expectations especially with a 4.4 star review out of 400 reviews. When you pull off of NM 16 onto Tetilla Peak Rd. there are huge potholes everywhere. We arrived at Tetilla Peak Campground to find that the water was non-potable, with very little water pressure (the pressure was so low it didnt push the check valve on the trailer so no water into the trailer), but the bathrooms were open, and you could was your dishes in a tub outside. There were no employees at the park, recreation.gov answered the phone but couldnt provide a refund or change reservations in any way. The gave a phone number for the manager of the campground but nobody answered the phone. The first night we saw an employee arrive and we thought they were cleaning the bathrooms but they just locked them and left. On the second day the water went out everywhere and still nobody answered the phone. The campground has nice covers over the picnic tables, the views at sunrise and sunset were amazing though this place looked like it was abandoned years ago. Until they decide to take some pride in the campground I would stay away from this place. The Cochita campground is on the other side of the lake and looks way nicer I would recommend you go there instead.
