Quiet, peaceful location in off-season. Price was better-than-right with our seniors pass. Missed the lack of NM recycling drop-offs, and at Cochiti Campground. Cmon ACOE! And the very few 50A sites available. The 2 very nice dry camp only sections could have easily had power but didnt and the Jupiter section only has water (& 50A) on the inner circle. Outside sites are electric-only. Very nice new showers on Jupiter BTW. But the Jupiter sites with paved parking are pretty rough. Lots of gravel/rocky banks with large rocks strewn about, not looking natural but like a construction site. Stick with Buffalo Grove loop if you want a more finished campsite with water & 50A, but they are well reserved. Thats it for now!

Was a beautiful campground. Very clean. Nice campground workers. We had a great time. Loved walking the dogs around the lake. Close to both Santa Fe and Albuquerque which we was there for the ballon fiesta

One dump station closed. 2 bathrooms closed. Renovated women’s shower has a hose attached to the shower head since the shower head was broken. Great hosts. Just wish the Army Corp of Engineers would take care of the plumbing.

Carrier download speeds are in usable. Was planning on staying longer but unable to get basic calls let alone use 2 different cellular data plans…

Cochiti Lake Recreation Area is a Corps of Engineer campground with several loops. We did not have reservations, but were able to get into the Juniper Loop without one in mid- October. ( the campground closed for the season a couple days after we arrived). Nice sites, with electric and water. Big rigs may have difficulty with some of the sites in this loop, but overall, a nice quiet campground. The bathroom in our loop was closed for remodeling, but it was an easy walk to get to another one . Nice hot showers! The lake at this time of year was tainted with algae, so swimming was not an option.
