Great location for day-trip proximity to National Parks and Monuments.

Site 57, best site in my opinion, basically by yourself. Site is on a slight slant but very doable. View of the sunset on passenger side of trailer. Covered cement patio and table. Beautiful views of hills surrounding the park. Shower house nearest to Buffalo Loop was clean, but is shared with at least 2 other loops which is why it needs more TLC. We used the shower house nearest Ringtail Loop nicer less worn. WIFI - T Mobile was slow in the am but picked up speed in the afternoon. 5 bars at 4G. Laundry is less than 2 miles from park in Cochiti Town. Sante Fe is approx 20 miles north and Albuquerque is approx 40 miles south. Convenient store 2 miles away is very limited on items.

I have been coming to Cochiti Lake for years. I find it very clean and well-maintained. I will definitely continue to come here to enjoy nature.

We camp often at Cochiti. We use the Buffalo Loop with electric and water. The camping is quiet with great site personnel and respectful campers. We will continue to return often.

Beautiful campground. Lots of room between sites. Incredible views of lake and mountains from our site. We were in 57. Level back-in site. Overnight only. Would love to spend a week here. Can’t beat the senior rate of $10 a night.

We love this campground. We have been coming here once or twice a year for the last 15 years. The staff is always friendly and the scenery is beautiful. It’s a great place to relax.

Be sure you arrive when the registration office is open. I was stuck in Santa Fe with no open campgrounds at 10pm. Recreation.gov allowed me to make a reservation for that night and collected their fee, but when I got there around 11pm, the gate was locked and I wound up parking outside it overnight. The campground itself was very nice. the rangers and other attendants were friendly and helpful, and the spot was level (always a plus IMNSHO) but I've never run into a campground before that you literally could not get into after hours. Everything else allowed you to go to your reserved spot and check in the next morning.

This RV Park has clean level spaces and the workers at the office are great.
