I LOVE Cochiti Lake!I had the most relaxing and peaceful time with the BEST views. The bathrooms were clean, camping spot for RV immaculate, offering 5/6 water stations to fill up, and not too far off (on the right side exiting camp, across from Ringtail Cat Loop) is the dump station and FREE. For $12 a night, it is worth every penny and then some.To Note: If you plan on going paddle boarding or kayaking (any water sports), it might behoove you to have an additional vehicle, as it is not in walking distance to carry/transport them. You will not regret staying here!

The campsite was beautiful. Wish there was direct access to the lake. The sites are close together so we could hear everything the next site up was saying. No shade trees so nothing to put a hammock on. Lots of millipedes which we enjoyed watching. Camp check-in was helpful and nice to chat with.

Very nice rV park! However, the volunteer host was absolutely not up to the job. Nobody was answering the phone. Her comment was that she blocked numbers she didnt recognize. Seems she felt she just got free room & board. Should really screen volunteers better and provide better supervision.

Cochiti is beautiful. Everyone was super respectful about keeping the noice down. It definitely gets windy but I was in a camper and had no problems with it. after the other reviews I saw about the water I didn't get in and I didn't allow my dog to either. Other than that, we had a pretty great time.

Our stay was great.so much that we extended it! The only complaint we have is that my wife thought the womens bathroom/shower wasnt up to the usual ACOE standards.

I love staying at Cochiti. Only suggestions I have are fill the doggy waste stations with bags. They seem to always be empty when I stay there. Bathrooms need to be cleaned better.

Great campsite: level pads with a covered picnic table and very clean restrooms / showers.

Great quiet campground with lake view, paved rv pad, picnic table with shade, clean bathrooms and free hot shower. Highly recommended!

campsite was beyond dirty upon arrival, and my neighbor would not prevent their dog from wandering into and relieving itself in my campsite (which is really by no fault of the campground itself). I stayed for two nights, and the first night i had to chase someone off my campsite who was trying to open the door to my car.

Beautiful, calm location and well maintained site. Very much worth the affordable rate.

Pretty campground with a nice view of the reservoir but when it is shut down, it is SHUT DOWN. I've never run into a state or federal campground before that literally locks the gate at closing time, it was always possible to park in my reserved space and check in in the morning. I made a same-day reservation at 10pm online with no problems, but when I got to the campground a half-hour later, the gate was locked. I spent what remained of the night parked outside the gate, waiting for a ranger to come make me leave. Once the park opened, the rangers were friendly and helpful (as always).

The kayaking was fun but the debris in the water was heavy, the algae was also everywhere. The campgrounds were very nice, the showers were super and clean. This was the 3rd week of August , monsoon season. Quiet during mid week.
