The area was very nice, clean, and safe. The patio sites were particularly great. Our only complaintpeople drive too quickly.

The sites are large and there is space between each site. You dont feel like you are on top of each other.

Understaffed and not very helpful. Could not find any propane to fill our tanks in town, Ranger was not around much and the gal in the office didn't seem to know much. The area was beautiful and the campground itself was very nice. But enjoyed our stay.

A lot of reserved spots go wasted because people simply don't show up

This was our first visit to Red Rock Canyon Campground and we enjoyed it. The campground is small, and there aren't any trees to speak of, but it never seemed crowded due to how the sites are arranged. I will say, however, that there is no signage for the loops, so if you arrive after dark (as we did) good luck finding your site on the first pass. I also did not see a loop map at the entrance. I'm thinking if we'd arrived when the camp hosts were still available, and checked in with them, we could've avoided this minor issue. The campground itself was well cared for, although we didn't use the vault toilets, so can't speak on those. There was a potable water spigot at each bathroom and they were easy to access. I don't know if it's the norm all year round, but in late Feb the winds are quite gusty. We didn't see many campers with awnings out, and we would take ours in at night to prevent damage. Many of the sites have covered shelters. The campground is super close to "town", about a 5 minute drive to stores, restaurants, etc. It's also about a 5 minute drive to the entrance to Red Rock Canyon Scenic Drive. We also made a day trip over to Valley of Fire which was phenomenal. All-in a great visit. The campground always seemed fully reserved while we were there, but I have to say it was one of the quietest campgrounds we've ever stayed in. It could have been because we were not quite in-season, or that it was mid-week. The camp hosts were very attentive and happy to answer questions about dumping our tanks. There are no dump stations at the campground, we had to drive out to a privately owned park on our way home and pay to dump, but we knew this beforehand. Would definitely stay again if we're in the area.

Great site, cleanest and best smelling bathrooms I've seen at a capsite. Very nice hosts. No cell coverage for Verizon, which made getting away from it all much easier.

This is a great campground. Very well kept and organized. It's quiet and feels super remote, yet you're within 10 minutes of all that you'd expect of "Vegas". Red Rock Casino, high end restaurants and shopping are so close, but you don't see it from the canyon. I have a luxury 38' diesel pusher and tow a jeep. No problems getting in and around the campground. The site details give the size limits for your vehicle and they are accurate. I took a 40' site and had to squeeze the jeep in beside the coach. It is boon docking, so don't expect even water. The gazebo, patio, bbq and fire pit in our site was very nice. We will stay here again!

We arrived in the afternoon to check in. Sign said to check in at the office, but it was locked up. Walked around to find campsite, conformed it was assigned to us, then drove to it. Site was big and driveway was graveled. Sand tent site (we didnt use), and covered/shaded area with table and bbq. Trailer site was sloped, required a lot of blocks for the tongue jack, and I used all four chocks for safety. Campground really well maintained and clean. Sites are spaced well, didnt feel crowded. Surrounding campers were quiet and respectful of their neighbors. T-mobile cell coverage fluctuated from nothing to 1 bar of 5g. Even if you got 5g, it was slow. Cell booster did get us 2 bars of 5g, but it was still very slow for 5g.

First night here was awesome, quiet and a nice breeze. The second night there were gale force winds through the campground. It was a extremely challenging and scary experience. However if we had not moved to truck cab, from the tent trailer, we would have missed a spectacular meteor shower. Be prepared for high winds in this area, otherwise very nice
