Always a pleasure to stay at this campground. There are vault toilets within easy walking distance of every site that are always clean, it's easy to work in Vegas but not have to be around Vegas at the site. The pads are spacious and chock full of amenities, shelter, a picnic table, a barbecue and a fire ring. Just a great place in a very useful location even if you have to work.

Campground host is in huge RV off the road with a sign saying no camp host. Didnt see one camp host, ranger, or anyone regulating the area. Appeared to be lots of people hopping from camps if someone showed up who actually paid. I paid for one night at a tent spot, had to park my truck hundreds of feet away even though on the website it says one car allowed and you can sleep in car, this is not true. So I upgraded and got a drive up site for 3 nights and left after one, and I have camped in sub zero weather in Colorado so Im not a wimp. What I did not appreciate was people running their generators and super bright lights all night. No camp host, no regulations. This would be a good area to camp for free as no one enforces anything. Parking at red rocks casino would have been quieter.

I used to enjoy coming here as a climber, but for the past 10y it's been going steadily downhill. It is no longer a place of Quiet Enjoyment. People turn up with large RVs and very loud generators which they seem happy to run all day long. And it's much more expensive too with online booking charges added. For a primitive campground with no showers and pit toilets $10 was about right 10y ago. It's now $33. And half the bathroom facilities aren't open either. Thanks but I think I'll drive 30 miles up to Lovell Canyon instead.

I love this park. So much to offer in terms of beauty and activities. The campground is spartan but very functional. More land should be purchased to diminish the ongoing urban sprawl that arrives at the park boundaries.

The campsite was very clean. The vault toilets were clean, well stocked with TP! We enjoyed the scenic loop during our stay...the visitors center was very nice and the staff was extremely kind.

Love Red Rock Canyon Campground. Visit frequently. Close to everything tho feels like youre far away. Every site is good tho definitely prefer the ones with shade covering! Clean bathrooms and water located throughout campground. Great camp hosts!

I really like this campground. It appears remote, but it's actually only minutes from Summerlin, on the outskirts of Vegas and is only about 20 minutes from the Harry Reid Airport. There are no facilities here except for pit toilets and water spigots, so you have to be self-contained.

A really nice stay, campsite. A great option if youre ok to camp/sleep in your SUV in the middle of nature, 20 minutes from the strip instead of paying huge prices for Vegas hotels. Only thing wouldve liked wouldve been some showers. All the rest was more than fine. Lovely!!

Campsite was nice. Experience in park overall was amazing. We didn't pick up on needing a reservation to do the scenic loop but that worked out better for us. We went in after 5:00 the first day and then were there before 8:00 the next morning. With our Senior Pass it meant that we did it twice for free! What a deal!

The campground requires a reservation to be made online, even if you arrive unplanned and after hours. It happens when traveling sometimes. There is no WiFi or cell coverage at the campground. There should either be a hotspot set nearby where one can register online or an old school iron ranger registration process available. It seems silly that a visitor should have to drive back to Las Vegas in order to register for a campsite. Especially when the campground is only 5% occupied.
The same goes for the scenic drive. When we arrived at the scenic drive we were told there were no brochures, only online downloads. Again, no WiFi or cell coverage, so drive back to Las Vegas to download trail, road, and park info? Most user unfriendly national recreation site I have ever been to.
Camp hosts were very gracious in using their satellite cell service to create a reservation for us to camp for the night.

Cleanest campground bathrooms I have ever used. You can tell they put in a lot of time to keep this place clean. My only thing is I wish there were showers but that is a luxury

Only thing is one of bathrooms is out of order and the faucet by bathroom had many bees swarming, not so safe to use.
