We pulled up and the winds were terrible, 70mph gusts made it impossible to stay. We took down our pop up camper and left after about two hours. Which wouldve been our anniversary and shortened our three day stay. But we will try again another time, freak weather that time was predicted for two days.

Loved the proximity to the state park and hiking. Stunning scenery. RV site was fairly level. Camp hosts never in, strange. Clean restroom.

We loved Red Rock Canyon Campground! Our campsite was perfect for our RV, we had plenty of space. The scenery is beautiful and so peaceful, youre so close to Red Rock National Conservation Area and theres shopping in Summerlin just a few miles away and Vegas and other sights are very close. Its definitely a jewel in the desert and were so happy we found it!

Great location to be close to Calico Basin hiking trails and rock climbing. Bathrooms are very clean and well stocked. Only down side and not to their fault is that there is no Cel service in the campground. Beautiful site that we had a great time at.

The volunteer hosts were spectacular as were the views. Dry camping can be a challenge for a longer period but fortunately the sun cooperated. Some of the "rules" are hard to understand but they are mostly ignored. (no bikes on the trails and masks on at all time on BLM land.)

Pit toilets were clean. No hook ups so great place to check out Boondocking equipment. Safari ME, Safari UT 1300 with solar panels. Everything worked great. Had a Champion Dual Fuel Generator for back up power. Stayed in RV 5 campsite. Very quiet.

Beautiful site! Nice and clean. The other visitors were quiet and respectful. We got there 10 min after 8 PM, which is when the camp host closes. A sedan zoomed past us as we were looking for any way to check in, and we later found the guy in our reserved RV site. He left without incident or drama. We were able to enjoy the site, the only thing that we would’ve wanted was more time!

Having stayed in just about every site in the campground. The RV loop continues after a decade to be the biggest weak spot. The inadequate size the number one site. All of the sites need to be leveled again. Regardless the campground has a whole has otherwise improved over the years.

The campground is easy to find. The camp hosts are efficient, friendly, and take excellent care of the campground. The RV campsites are off by themselves, though apparently RVs can also camp in the more abundant main camping area. It was quiet and peaceful.

I was back in the RV area which is separated by a hill and curved road from the main camping area. The bathrooms were clean and had water available. There was hand sanitizer inside and outside the bathroom. I would recommend this location to tent campers and small RVs.

Pretty well kept except for the roads. Trails well marked. Plan to return someday.
