Surrounded by beautiful views of Red Rock Canyon. We stayed over night in our travel trailer. Large size sites with and nice fire pits. Plenty of walking space for the dogs. We took the scenic drive around red Rock Canyon stopping to take short trails to look around.

It seems the bigger RVs have found this wonderful campground and since the policy for generators is very lenient they run them when you want to be out side by your campfire or having dinner out side! There should be more restrictions on them for why we camp in the first place! The 6 am star time seems outrageous to start them up!

Clean, quiet and well-spaced sites. Not many campers during our stay -- all were respectful and observed quiet hours.Nice level spot for our trailer, but also thought the special tent areas looked nice, level with built-in tie-downs. The weather wasn't too hot yet in mid-May, but I'd definitely recommend getting a site with a shade structure, or bring your own. Plenty of sun to recharge via solar. There were a surprising number of vault toilets evenly spaced throughout. Cell service was spotty, trying to make a reservation at Recreation.gov while on-site (same day reservation) required standing in the middle of the road or driving back towards town. LOVED hiking in the park, first stop on the scenic drive - after 5pm a reservation wasn't needed, so can't comment on that process.

Nice, pretty quiet campground and the closest to Red Rock Park. A sun shelter is a must and even then the couple of hours before sunset and after sunrise (when the shelter doesnt help) can feel hot on warmer days. Also, there is no escaping the wind when it blows (which is pretty often). One thing that took us by surprise was that for the first three days there was no toilet paper in the bathrooms pretty lame. The first time thats ever happened to me but still lame.

Only downfall was not being able to make a fire in the almost freezing temps but it was beautiful and clean!

comfortable campsites, especially those with shelters. Improved campground since spring of 24. Vault toilets ok but hand sanitizer containers empty. Views are stunning. Generally quiet and respectful campers. Looking forward to being here again.

The tent pad is too small for 15x15 & you are required to use it. Bathrooms were really clean & water spicket was easily accessible. The dirt roads were well maintained. Did not need a high clearance vehicle to access. Not all sites have a covered picnic table.

We pulled in and turned around and left. We didnt even stay. It looked like something out of a zombie apocalypse movie. And there was a complete burn ban, no campfire and no charcoal grill which were the only way I was prepared to cook. We ended up going up the mountain to McWilliams campground which was a great place!

The camp host was very friendly. The site was nicely set up. The tent square being level and elevated was wonderful. The wind though. Ugh. I almost didnt sleep at all with the wind going all night long.

Amazing. This place rocks. Camp is great and clean. Host is great. Amazing hiking and biking from camp. Sheltered spot is ideal for shade and hooking up your hammock to. Cant wait to go back. On site water was yummy and cold.

This campground needs to expand WIFI so all campers have access not just the care takers.Cell Phone service does not exist which is a great disappointment compared to other campgrounds in the West that do offer WIFI and cell phone coverage. The site is great and the care takers are very good.

We really enjoyed the campsite. There was a confusion. I had thought I had reserved two nights and only did one night. The information I got was a bit confusing from the web site. It would be nice to have a phone number to call to get help with reservations on the computer. I am not that good at the computer.
The hosts were very hospitible and kept the rest rooms spotless. Please add sun shelters and slabs to each of the tent camping sites as we had one without either that can be kind of grim when the wind blows.
I have stayed at this site a couple of times. I use it as a stopping over point when driving from my home in Northern CA out to Utah. The proximity to Las Vegas and the highway makes it a convenient location. The hosts are helpful and friendly, and the facilities are well maintained. The problem is that it’s impossible to actually sleep here. Every sound in the desert is carried, so even if someone is walking to the bathroom, it’s like they are in your site. On my last visit, the people one site over SAR outside talking until 2 a.m. - well past the 10 p.m. quiet hour. The other issue is that even though there is a sign on the road in to tell people that the campground is full, people drive in all night long. On my last visit, I counted 14 cars between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. when I finally gave up trying to sleep and just left.

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
