After searching the entire website to move my campsite without success, I called the support line and waited on hold for more than 40 minutes. When I finally reached someone, she informed me that she couldnt assist. I ended up leaving the campground, and when I returned, someone else had already occupied the site I had reserved. It was too late in the evening for a host to resolve the issue. Frustrated, I left and was unable to enjoy my stay.

Site is good. We had to move the table closer to the fire pit. Would be nice to have a flat ground at the table. During our stay, there was no water. Its a disappointment and would be nice to know that in advance. Better yet, give us a refund on the lack of amenities.

If youve ever wanted to try sleeping in the middle of a tornado, this is your place. Camp host will wake you up at 7am because their reservation system isnt accurate. Would be nice if you could get a reservation on site as a pull-up without having to go get service.

I know every says this in these reviews but the camp hosts here are just SO amazing! They made it feel like home away from home. And you can tell they really care about everyones safety and they keep an eye on whos coming and going and actually walk around making sure everything is going well. Also this campground is CLEAN and you can tell its because they really care. And even though its pit toilets let me tell you these are the cleanest pit toilets Ive ever seen! They hosts also gave me great hike and photo op recommendations AND even figured out a great way for me to weather proof my little backpacking tent better. I just cant say enough how excellent camp hosts make everything so nice. It doesnt hurt that the campground has gorgeous views and is so close to everything yet quiet and tucked away. The walk in spots are a bit too close together. I could hear my neighbors whispering like they were inside my tent. But the standard spots have plenty of room and are maintained well. Very limited cell service here though so keep that in mind and book you entry to the fee area before you arrive. The whole stay was just such apleasant camping experience that I will definitely be back a few times before the campground closes for the summer.

The campground, facilities, and hosts were wonderful. The $8 fee to book our one night, virtually doubling our cost, was unacceptable.

Camp hosts were very friendly.I had a problem with rec.gov site. It would not allow me to do 2 consecutive nights . I booked 2 nights anyways but paid too much for reservation fees. I spoke to another woman who had the same problem. I would appreciate $8 credit. Thanks!

I've been staying at this campground at least once a year for the past 5 years, and it's gotten more and more expensive and harder and harder to access every year. When I stayed this year, the temperatures were in the triple digits so I wanted to book a site with a pavilion. With sporadic availability, I made reservations to move between 2 different sites for the duration of my stay, which I intended to be 14 days. Little did I know that I would be charged NINE DOLLARS for each time I needed to move sites, making many of my nights $29 each!! And what do you get for $29? A pit toilet, water, and getting over-patrolled by rangers 24/7, except when there was a legitimate domestic dispute at 1AM which woke me up from all the way across the campground-- no rangers around then! Friends from out of state pulled in to sit by my fire one night, and we were harassed by rangers about having 1 "unregistered" car in the site for 2 hours. Give me a break!! I ended up cancelling my reservation part way through my stay, of course, for another fee. This is the last of camping at Red Rock Canyon Campground for me. For not much more, I can rent an AirBNB in town!
