Hosts are excellent. Bathrooms and park very clean. I just wish there were better restrictions on generators. Our neighbors used a generator at 0600 to make a cup of coffee, and according to the rules they were with in their rights to do so. We have a travel trailer and a generator as well, but I would never consider using it early in the morning or anytime during or after supper time so as not to disturb others. Campers in tents have no walls to block out the noise and running a generator a certain times is quite inconsiderate.

You may not camp here without reservations October to May, which means you MUST pay the $8 reservation fee. And there is no cell service here unless you hike up to the hills above the campground or drive back out to the highway. So, check to see if there are available sites before heading here!

We did have reservations, which we rarely get. It was busy here mid week and all sites were reserved except for 1 tent walk in site, which had a sign saying you had to get the site on recreation.gov. or risk a $125 fine. Many of these reserved sites went empty with no show campers.

The road in is paved but the campground is gravel. Not all sites are the same. About 1/2 had tables on cement pads with a ramada and benches around the fire pit. Others only had tables and firepits. All had tent pads, except for the RV loop sites. We camped here with our 40' 5th wheel in site 45, which was a long back in site, however it was not level front to back. Sites were either back in or pull out.

Numerous clean pit toilets, trash dumpster located at the entrance of the campground, water spigots near pit toilets, group campsites, camp host.

Red Rock Canyon is a few miles away. The campground is very popular with rock climbers.

This is a nice campground with wonderful hosts about a mile away from the red rock Canyon. We camped in a travel trailer and we had to go back into town to get water for our trailer they have limited potable Water at the campground. So be sure to load up before you get here if you need water. We were in spot number 45 and had a nice views of sunset and sunrise. The spaces include a picnic table fire ring and a sandy area to set up tents in if you need that. The bathrooms were very clean and scattered throughout the campground.

We went to red rock Canyon before 8 AM each day as we did not have a timed entry pass that you need between eight and five. That was great because we beat the heat of the day and I think lots of the crowds. We really enjoyed red rock Canyon.

Beautiful scenery, clean campgrounds and bathrooms. I liked that quiet hours started late (10pm). Excellent customer service and plenty of room at campsite.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds due to proximity to Red Rocks climbing. Now that I can make reservations in advance, I'm using it a lot more. Campground hosts Barb and Dennis are great! Very courteous and helpful.
Make your reservations but if you want to change them or cancel them, good luck dealing with Rec.Gov customer service, you probably won't get any money back!
