Great venue, close to Las Vegas for easy access to the airport.

Camp host was THE BEST I have ever encountered. It was a woman, I wish I had gotten her name. The campground is incredibly poorly marked requiring multiple drive bys and dangerous u turns on the main road. Actually it is not marked at all. So by the time I arrived I was in a very very bad mood. But the camp host agreed about the lack of signage and was so nice that it made me chill out. The campground itself has the privacy and charm of a parking lot but the location near town is nice. When driving out early the following morning the red rock canyon was very beautiful.

Beautiful site and area. Except for the BRIGHT night sky, you couldnt tell youre 1/2 an hour outside of Vegas. Only complaint is how poorly signed the access roads are to find your site. It takes a couple of laps to figure it out.

I enjoyed my trip, the facilities were very clean and camp host was very helpful and friendly. The reason I gave three stars is because the camp site I stayed at didnt have shade/rain coverage like the other sites did and Im wondering if my site costs less than others due to a lack of amenities. If it isnt than I believe that a discrepancy. In addition, there were two large groups staying at the sites next to us and we had to share a restroom with at least thirty people, there was often a wait for the restroom and a lot of foot traffic by our site in the middle of the night. It would of made more sense for these two groups to book a group site that can accommodate that many people rather than a standard site.

The campground has been updated nicely over the past few years. Its easy to navigate and quiet. The washrooms are clean and stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Enjoyed our stay this time and several times before, and will certainly be back!

We were only able to stay one night as all campsites were reserved, though it was obvious there were many no-shows. The reservation fee is cheap enough folks just accept that. Instead, maybe consider a no-show penalty? That would induce folks to release sites back for others to use.The site has absolutely no cell or wifi coverage, making it impossible to contact friends or family; only those with Sat phones (expensive) have that. You need wifi here!!!Finally, my biggest beef: there is no provision for folks simply sleeping in their vehicles - and who dont need a site - just a toilet. Just outside the park gates there is a parking area where about 100 climbers are parked, side by side. There is no toilet facility. Some campers bring their own, but many do not - they are simply using the cover of darkness to urinate and deficate in the desert - and they is too many of them. It would be sanitary, popular, and actually make money to make room for them at the same time as providing proper toilets!!!

Campsite was very clean and close to the park. We had a wonderful experience and plan to be back.

The entire campground is very well-maintained. Even the pit toilet smelled good! The camp host regularly patrols, which made me feel comfortable leaving my belongings at my campsite. Beware that some of the campsites dont have shade covers, so it was miserably hot midday. Also, you cant see Red Rock or the Rainbow Mountains from the campground, so dont expect a view.

Overall we had a great experience at this campsite! Check in process was easy, lots of restrooms and water spouts nearby, and a respectful crowd of hikers / campers. Fires were allowed in the designated fire pits and quiet time was from 10pm-6am. So nice to have a campsite so close to Las Vegas! Will definitely return

We had a nice stay. The campground hosts were friendly and helpful. Our site was on a slope, but included a perfectly leveled area enclosed by a wood frame, spacious enough for a three-person tent. You want to stake it down, it gets windy! The pit toilet was clean.

I have no complaints about this campground. We have been to it several times. Our most recent stay was in the current pandemic times and, I know desperate times require desperate measures, but, the decision to close half of the bathrooms was a bit baffling. Reason given was the covid-19 times. I fail to see the reasoning here, why was it necessary? If one side of each outhouse is open, how does opening the other side make it more risky? Oh well, hopefully the Covid will soon be behind us, and the closed bathrooms will be soon be open!

No cover over the tables on the upper rim but the site was good. Tent poles will not stay in place on windy days because of the sand so I had to take the tent down. But it was a nice safe place to camp and the host were wonderful.

Great place to camp that is close to town. We loved the camp site & will be back. Everything you need...restrooms, fire ring, BBQ pit, and tent pad.

Major disappointment. Campground needs an upgrade. Was charged a reservation fee for a walk-in, which none of the other recreation.gov sites charge.

Beautiful spot for camping! The campground was clean, is laid out well, and very quiet and peaceful at night. The camp hosts were super friendly as well and were very welcoming when I arrived. I highly recommend staying here!

Loved the park and how much there was to see. The docents were very helpful and passionate. The campground was just what we needed. No electric, no running water, but we knew that going into it. The caretaker was an excellent host.

Always enjoy staying here. You'd never know how close you are to Las Vegas. Clean sites, easy location and well managed. it does get a little windy in the fall though. Overall great campground this was our 3rd or 4th visit and we plan to return. Easy(ist) access to Red Rocks (climbing hiking) and the rest of the desert for mountain biking.
