We stayed in RV 6, quiet, no light or noise pollution. Super respectful campers, no music or generators! Just a mile or so from scenic loop entrance. Vault toilets, no showers but potable water. Amazing you are ~3 miles from Summerlin but zero WiFi!! Only downside, no camp host was seen for 2 days and bathrooms had no TP - Friday afternoon to Sunday morning!

A very nice developed BLM campground. Gravel sites, pit toilets, and a water spigot at the bathrooms. The campground hosts do a great job of keeping the pit toilets and camp sites clean. It seems very isolated yet you are less than five miles from Las Vegas. Great hiking and Red Rock Can you is nearby. Watch the speed bumps while entering the campground. They say ten miles per hour, they mean five or less.

Red Rock is a beautiful place! The hosts there are very friendly and helpful and they keep the facilities clean. I like staying there because it is peaceful and yet close to civilization. That meaning a nearby 24 Hour Fitness, Costco and resorts with casinos. The only downside is no Wi-Fi or cell service. I have stayed there numerous times and will continue to go back during its operating hours, it closes June 1 due to heat.

We reserved a space in advance and when we go there, we had been reassigned to the Rv culdesac. The space we had wasnt even a space, it wad the side of the road and the Rv was still in the culdesac so everyone that took that street turned around right next to us. The staff was pleasant but since the place was full, they couldnt help us. We will return but call ahead to verify the reservation and the space to make sure they dont solve someone elses problem by relocating us.

Great destination, well managed, and friendly hosts. Close to shopping for supplies, but far enough away to enjoy some real peace and the noise from the city.

Campground hosts were excellent, and I love the location, but the city/county needs to put some of those tax dollars to work and fix all the road ruts and uneven sites. The site I stayed on was like sleeping on a hill, the drop-off was so bad, was spinning my tires just to get out of there. Plenty of tax dollars in Vegas (I think!), it leaves me mystified why they don't do some maintenance out here. 2 stars out of 5 because of that.

It was hot! I parked in an RV spot #6 and did not leave my RV because of the heat. The camp host was super friendly which was a bonus.

This Campground needs to be visited during cooler weather. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the Campground was very quiet. Just down the street from the 13 mile dive at Red Rock National conservation area. You must take the drive. If you are a rock climber or a biker this place is for you, with the great 13 mile dive that is perfect for biking and there is rock climbing and hiking in the park area as well.

Quiet and remote area which is always nice. No hook-ups or running water in the bathroom, but we knew that going in and the price reflects it, so that's fine. Only spent about 10 hours at the site, and most of that was sleeping, but overall it was a good experience if you want to be near Vegas but feel like you're out in the quiet wilderness.

Make sure you make a reservation before entering... I arrived late not knowing that I needed to make an ONLINE reservation and was awaken by the hosting telling me I had to leave IMMEDIATLY! There was no cell service so I had to leave to rectify the problem.The service fee for the only way to stay is OUTRAGIOUS it added over $8.00 to the fee. Fortunately I have a Senior/Military card that gave me a discount but that's about the only good thing I have to say about my experience.I'm a Senior/Military person living on a fixed income and in the future will avoid Government Campgrounds.

Restrooms are very clean even though they are vault toilets. Location is very close to Red Rock Scenic Drive and not too far from cities to purchase groceries or any other necessities.
@JuliaD932 · Camped on Feb 28, 2021 at Campsite #RV6
Gravel uneven roads and sites, no dump, the RV sites were the worse sites in the park. Dust everywhere. It was overpriced boondocking.

Beautiful setting. Camping area clean and well spaced. The Red Rock Scenic Drive was outstanding and we had a nice hike to Keystone Thrust. Would recommend enthusiastically.
