Had to make my reservations on line - made them for one night Thursday and checking out Friday. Found out that check out is at 6 PM luckily when we arrived at noon - no one was camped in our spot - otherwise we would have had to wait until 6PM and we left at 9AM the following morning. To insure the campsite would be available we would have had to pay for an additional day. Not impressed with the current system.

Methodist Cove is a lovely campground. We only stayed one night but enjoyed our water site.

Not giving a 1 star because the bathrooms near my spot were clean and in good shape. I wanted to give a 1 star though because it is upsetting that I was required to purchase a primitive camping spot for two nights even though I was only staying for one night. Definitely not worth it considering I couldnt even drop my boat in the water at this campground. Very disappointing.

Methodist Cove is a very nice campground, we always have a good experience there. The sites are far enough apart to allow you "your space" not like some campgrounds.

There was no one around our entire visit to questions. We did not even see a host. Our site was beautiful with trees. There was a lot of little trash around our site that I picked up.

The campground has a range of sites: full hookup, electric with water, electric only, and tent. There is a shower house with laundry facilities, too. The campground hosts and staff keep the shower house clean.

The woman staffing the gatehouse was great. Very helpful, very knowledgeable, able to work changes in the system as we needed them and all done with a very cheerful disposition. So, Yay!Campground was quiet and well maintained. Sites were clean. Bathroom and shower facilities were pretty good, though some young (teenage?) boys were having entirely too much loud fun in the showers when I used them. Where were their parents?Good job by the Corps of Engineers and their contractors for hosting such a nice campground.

grounds are vey well kept. the grass is plush and well maintained. the reservoir is a great resource. showers and laundry are a nice plus, but the sinks could be better maintained; there were scads of dead bugs on them.

Love it here. My favorite place to go. Great walking/biking. Lots of shade. Great level pads. No dirt, its all grass or pea gravel with asphalt main roads.

This is one of the prettiest campgrounds we ever visited. The only thing that would have made it better would have been water and electricity. But we knew that when we booked it. The view from our campsite was beautiful. Plenty of space between campsites. The near-by town of Alma was nice and had a grocery store that had all we needed. Bathrooms were clean and nice. Would go again if it wasn't 800 miles away.

beautiful trees in flat spacious campground with lake breezes, very reasonable priced washers & dryers, distance to flush toilets was farther than expected, YMMV

The check-in booth isn't staffed very often. Otherwise, a great campground. Will return.

Beautiful campsite with unobstructed and elevated view overlooking a marshy bay. Spotted a dozen bird species and watched a great blue heron "frogging". We were there on the night of the "low strawberry moon" and the reflections across the lake viewed from our site were breathtaking. This is a gorgeous county park campground that rivals the best the national park service (NPS) has to offer. Very friendly campers helped us navigate to the shower house and other facilities. We would stay here again.

Huge site. Gets kind of windy at this location. Clean facilities and had a washer/dryer inside bathroom.

Loved our site (115) with lots of shade. Wondered why there are so many FCFS sites that are roped off. Any explanation?

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
