Hunter Cove Campground in Harlan County is located 1 hr 38 min southwest of Grand Island, NE with an elevation of 1,971 feet. There are a total of 128 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to the end of September. 108 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 30 and 85 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 7 sites have electric and water hookups. 73 sites have electric hookups. Prices start at $18.00 per night. Some amenities include shower, playground. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

Never saw anyone working at the check in booth during our 3 day stay. Our site was level, plenty of shade and close to the shower house, which was always very clean. Used the laundry room during out stay and didn't have any issues. The water level of the lake is very low so we were limited with no water recreation. Boat rentals were not available due to water levels. Very scenic area and explored small town of Alma for supplies and groceries. Local grocery store had everything we needed. Small prairie dog area outside of campground near the dam was entertaining to watch.

Beautiful park on the St. Lawrence River. Lots of nice walks through along the rocky shoreline. Conveniently located and lots of options for accommodation.

Quite time. Good relaxing. Would have been better if the water levels were higher. Good job by the host. Bathroom was clean.

The camping site we jad was very nice and away from other campers. We had siteb72 which was nice and close to tje showers but away from other campers. The Marina.Has excellent food. I would go again and recommend to anyone to go here.

Our annual father's day get together with friends from our college days was as usual a very relaxing enjoyable time. We have been camping at Hunter's Cove for more years than I can count and it is the one I consider the best that's available. The only downside to it is the unavailability of internet access, I would gladly pay a little more if this was an amenity offered.

Hunters Cove is nice, but there is no boat dock. They have a nice playground for little kids. I wish the Harlan County lake had a nice swimming area. The north side is muddy with weeds, the south side beach is doable, but they both need sand brought in.
