This is a very quiet and well managed campground. The sites are level and are not too close to each other.

Cons: Wasn't mowed until we had been there 3 days. A stray dog wandered the campgrounds daily. Pros: The bathrooms were clean and in good repair. It was quiet. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful.

Everything was clean and well maintained. The boat ramp was very convenient and the hosts and hostesses were polite and friendly. I will be returning.

We've stayed at Cagle twice now and love it. We've stayed in both loops. First visit we drove around and noted what we thought would be great campsites. We had heavy rains the first night we were visiting on our second stay, took another walk around and noted again which sites to avoid if there is bad weather. There were a few sites that were rather flooded (including the tent pad). Probably shouldn't share, but here are what we feel are the best site (including driest in bad weather) 8, 9, 14, 16, 46, 42, 40, 30 and 31.Park hosts were really friendly and efficient. The park itself is very quiet and clean, including the restrooms. And all the sites have full hook ups, picnic tables, tent pad and a fire pit.Have fun!

We had the best visit to Cagle Recreation Area. the site was in good shape. there was an issue with the 50amp breaker on the site but it was quickly checked and fixed. the park hosts were very helpful and so friendly.

We arrived at a little before 4:00 after the 2:00 check-in time to have plenty of time to get our RV set up before dark. The site we had reserved had our name and dates on a card clipped on the #42 campsite. Yet, there was a trailer set up in the campsite and no one was in the trailer. Turned out the guy was out fishing. Check-out time was 12:00, and the park host failed to get the person out of the site in a timely manner. Another camper with a truck moved the trailer to another site which did not get cleared until after 6:30. This was the first time for us to use our new RV and I wanted plenty of sunlight to get set up for the first time. It was very disappointing and frustrating to arrive at our campsite with a trailer in it and then to have to wait for almost 3 hours to get started setting up. I did not get finished until about 9:30. I told the guy who had our site that he owed me a day's fee for my inconvenience. He was rude and said, "I don't owe you anything." The park host saw and heard all of this. The person who was in our campsite was not reprimanded and it was I who was inconvenienced. Once this snafu was over, the rest of our time camping was wonderful!

Camp hosts are wonderful; sites are large and roomy and kept very clean. We didn’t utilize the restrooms, but they were kept clean and tidy.

We have been camping at Cagle for over 10 years and we always try to extend our stay. The host at Cagle are always present lending an air of security and safety. The restrooms are always clean and working! If there was a way, we would stay there all the time. Oh forgot to say it is generally very quiet .
