Im an avid outdoorswoman and camp often, so I expected some weekend noise. However, I was extremely disappointed that some campers created constant, unnecessary noise by repeatedly opening and closing car doors and locking and unlocking their vehicles until 2 AM. We packed up early Sunday morning and left. Not sure well be back.. at least in a tent!

We love coming to Cagle. It's close to home, beautiful tall trees, lovely sites. Rangers were very nice and attentive. One issue was disappointing Friday night after we had gone to sleep. Airboats revving their engines for about two hours next to campsite. No one could sleep through that it was awful. Rangers told us that Cagle couldnt do anything about it and that it could happen any night. I almost said we should pack up and just go home. But we had planned this trip for a long time and decided to stay. The next night we heard the airboat once and the night after that none at all. It is a shame that a few airboat people can Make our peaceful outing so miserable the first night.

Very quiet and peaceful setting, lots of shade, close to the water, close to New Waverly or Willis if you need supplies or a good hamburger!

Park was clean and well maintained. Spaces are well spaced and trees everywhere. Park is very quiet and peaceful. Bring your blocks if camping near the lake.

Everything was clean. Sites are large. Everything was nice. One thing that could have been better were the trails. They were overgrown and had trees across them. They need some TLC, otherwise all was very nice.

We have been going to Cagle Recreation Area for 15 yrs. We absolutely love this place! The fishing is good, itโ€™s not too busy, it has clean bathrooms/showers, and wonderful hosts! We will be back soon!

Great park but not enough camp sites. Making reservations is ridiculously difficult because its always full and the website is designed to be about as far from user friendly as possible. It seems like its going to let you make your reservation for 2 nights but wont. Only allows 1 night at a time and because of that you end up sometimes having a different site for your second night because the sites are taken so quickly. Whatever yall paid for the website is too much.

The local park personnel allowed a non-renter to put their vehicle inside my space. So, we spent four hours upon our arrival just trying to get the RV Class C vehicle out of our space. And, the local park personnel left for dinner after they allowed someone in our space, so we had to call the police to get it resolved. It was a mess! And, not the experience we wanted.

We love camping at Cagle. I have three suggestions though.1. Sewer pipe connections should be lowered so that the RV sewer line can flow down hill all the way to the connection. 2. Each time we camp, a premium spot will be reserved but no one shows up. Find some way to release no show spots so someone else can enjoy them.3. Each morning a park host runs a leaf blower for several hours. Exhaust and noise ruins the serenity of enjoying sitting outside in the morning.

As usual Ms. Vicki was the Consumate Camp Host. But Unauthorized Campers entering after Dark and setting up camp Randomly around the facility is getting Carried Away. This is 2 trips in a row. Once in my own campsight this time at the boat ramp.

Seems the Forest LEO could start doing their Job. But that would require them not being so damn comfortable they don't even patrol any longer!
