Campsite was clean and Jesse, the camp host was fabulous. He welcomed us and was so nice and helpful with any questions we had. We plan to go again soon.

Sitting around the campfire, talking and watching the fire as the sun sets over the lake. Take a trip into Montgomery to shop through the antique stores and eat at the Old Montgomery Steakhouse ( great food and prices).

A beautiful lakeside getaway for my girlfriend and I. We had no complaints with the facilities, and our host Jesse was very helpful. Would definitely like to come back (maybe on a less rainy weekend!)

Cagle is a great Park. Cagle is known as the park with the boat ramp. The boat ramp is the central icon of the Cagle Recreation area. But the dock at the boat ramp IS FALLING APART!!! This needs to be fixed. If the icon at Cagle park is the boat ramp, then the main element of the boat ramp, which is the dock, needs to be kept in good shape, and presently it is a piece of crap. This boat ramp has had the face lumber along the outside edge broken off and missing for two years. This year I noticed even another piece has been broken off. When I was out there this last time, with heavy winds one day it looks like a giant chunk was broken off of the corner by the heavy waves from the winds or a boat was knocked against it because of the winds. The importance is that boats moor along the dock, and when the lumber is missing, the bare metal frame of the dock will tear up the boat. The metal will also tear up bumpers that boats use. So the icon of Cagle - the boat dock at the boat ramp - is potentially tearing up boats. This has been in this shape for two years. Please get it fixed.

Great spot, always love staying here. Angle of the pad has you looking at trees and water. Would definitely recommend this site.

I never knew such a quiet place existed on Lake Conroe. Being in the forest, there was shade all day long which helps in 100+ temps. If youre looking for slow paced peace and quiet close to Houston, this is it.

Overall, the park is very nice. Sites are far apart and kept up very well. We were in site 30. However, next to us were several unleashed dogs, who would walk over to our campsite and cause our dogs to bark. These other dogs yapped constantly , and really caused our stay to be ruined. Please enforce the leash rule and the quiet time rule!!

we only used the camp ground as a staging area from which we tripped out of daily, so we really did not use the facilities enough to give a really good perspective. But, for what we did use it was really nice. Only one minor complaint, there was never anyone at the entrance booth to ask questions, pay balance or check in with, kind of odd but we managed.

The campsite was really nice and clean. Everyone was really nice. I never saw a host but I had my senior pass on the truck mirror so they may have gotten the necessary information from there.

Nice clean park, shady, plenty of camping room. Nice trails. We went to Huntsville and visited the Prison Museum and Veterans Museum. Both were interesting.
