It was a great park. We are fairly new to the RV world but enjoyed the stay here very much vs an RV park. Sites seemed nicely spread out mostly, with shade and fire pits. I poked my head into the restrooms and shower and was glad we did not have to use them, so that would be an improvement. But the hosts were nice, the park was shaded and quiet, and there is very easy lake access for boats, kayaks, swimming, etc. No issues with the hookups and our site (#12) was fairly level side to side, but front to rear needed a good amount of jacking and leveling blocks for our 32' trailer. Would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful Park. This part of lake Conroe is totally different from the southern end as there is no development so nothing but treeline. The only thing was our camping site ended up being across from a camp host who had lots of junk around their trailer so it was an eyesore. Would have chosen another campsite if I had known. (would have given it 5 stars otherwise) You never really know what you are getting until you see it. Overall we enjoyed the park and would definitely go back and try to grab a different campsite next time. The facilities were nice and very clean and the campsite had good service i.e. electric and water.

Not sure how to explain. It is a beautiful, well kept, quiet, heavily wooded, campground with easy walk access to lake Conroe. I will be back.

Cagle is like an oasis in the middle of the city. Just a short distance and it's like another much slower, relaxing world, with the lake and hiking, there is lots to enjoy. We come here whenever there is a break at school.

It isnt what it used to be over the past 20+ years as it doesnt seem to be maintained as it was in the past. Dont recall the last time there was someone manning the guard house.

This is a great park for those wanting peace and quiet. The spacing between the sites is excellent, in our case, there was a minimum of 50-60 feet separation. There are not a lot of options for hiking; there are two loops that are interconnected for a total of about 2 miles.T-Mobile and Verizon were both weak in the area, but you could find spots where there was coverage. The water pressure was okay, electricity was fine. No problems with the sewer. The site was paved, it was low on the driver's side and toward the road.We stayed in the park in a 5th wheel.

Spacious spots, most are not level, trees need trimming, little to no service for Verizon and TMobile, lots of trees so Starlink is spotty. Very quiet place, this is our 2nd time here and will be back. Hosts are great

Great camp host inthe sweet gum loop. Site fairly level with full hook ups. Great trailers for walking. Nearest town 10 miles away but larges town with in 20 miles. Secluded among the tall pines trees, very quiet and peaceful. Large sites. Definitely will be back there again.

Having full hookups is always nice. We used the motor home as a base to go to our grandsons baseball games so that was nice. We decided to leave a day early because of the weather. Hated to leave.

Beautiful spot. We went for Thanksgiving week. As per requirements, Warning: I purchased about $100 in special heat treated firewood. There was a burn ban when we got there. Couldn't use the firepits but could use portable BBQs. We didn't have one. Rained all week but the area was lovely. Fishing - not so good. Great trails and the bathrooms were clean. Kids in neighboring sites were way too loud, but they were probably irritated with our dogs barking.

Very nice camp site and well kept campground. Nice paved trails down to the lake for pretty easy access. My family enjoyed fishing in multiple locations throughout the day. Restrooms were clean and taken care of. Our camp hosts were very friendly and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cagle Recreation Area. The campsites are very well kept and far apart so our children and grandchildren had plenty of room to play. It was extremely quiet at night. We also enjoyed walking the trails. The trails were also well kept and clean.
