Very nice and clean campground, relatively quiet at night (loudest thing was thr boats on the lake), hiking trail on site was pleasant. Hosts were genuine, pleasant, and polite, we will continue to camp here.

Camp sites are nice with decent space between them. Locations for water, power, sewer were set up well and were in good repair. Park is older, so "paved" trails are in a little rough shape. Holes, tree roots etc along with older wooden bridges that are in various stages of failing. Our loop had one bath/shower house. Kept clean, however, at the time we were there (4/2024), the June bugs were out in force and were laying dead all over the bathrooms and the sidewalks. Just nature and the lights around the bath. The staff cleaned up everyday. Just a lot every day. Found the camp hosts to be very nice/hospitable. They made sure we were all set up and I believe that they also take care of the bath/showers. Don't expect to find someone in the gate house. They no longer seem to staff it anymore. At least, we never saw anyone there during our two day stay, and there was a sign stating that the gate house wasn't staffed....I'd recommend them for sure and will be back if were in the area again!

We enjoyed 3 nights in the peaceful woods. The lake and lake access was great. The RV sites were clean, level, and spacious. Debbie, the camp host was very nice and helpful.

All hosts were friendly and helpful. Campsites were plenty large and restrooms were very clean. Enjoyed our stay with family. Didn't realize how much pollen at the time of our visit.

I gave 4* but would have given 5* if there was a park map and hiking trails. Beautiful area & Super camp host. I find not enjoy my stay fue to travel trailer problems and the group I was with didn't want to do much, but none of that had anything do do with the campground.

They clean up the sites (lots of trees=lots of leaves) before you get there which is a nice touchespecially for us OCD folks. Very friendly park host.

October 24-26 was our first experience at Cagle Recreation Area. It was wonderful! The sites are spacious with full hookups, the scenery was beautiful and the park hosts, Carl & his wife, were exceptionally friendly & helpful. We came home and booked a stay for 2 weeks from now!

Linda (The Host) was absolutely fabulous. The park was excellent and the showers and rest rooms were clean. We will definitely be staying there again.

Cagle has all of the utilities needed for RV camping, wide spaces to roam, including two hiking trails with views of the Lake Conroe and sunsets, boat launch and plenty of parking.

Very nice Host. Pad for our travel trailer was well maintained and in good shape. Also, the grounds around our pad and throughout Cagle were well maintained. We will be coming back.
