Well maintained sites, restrooms cleaned regularly, sites spaced out enough for privacy. Fantastic time!

extremely loud and disrespectful multifamily group, across from us. screaming, yelling, turning engines on and off, using a lot of lighting late into the night, and all next day . may as well been in a downtown on a Saturday night.

The kids and I had a wonderful time kayaking, fishing, mountain biking, and hammocking.

Park ranger presence is needed, especially around the start of quiet hours, which need to be adjusted. When actual campers are at the park, they go to sleep pretty soon after dark. The park was very noisy our first night with people showing up at or after 10:00 PM. We were woken up several times by slamming car doors and loud talking/yelling until around midnight. The second night, there were people playing music until after 10:00, singing loudly and yelling. I get that people want to have a good time but they need to tone it down after dark, and people checking in after dark need to be told to be quiet or wait until the following day to check in. Other than that, the park was great and the managers were very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful lake with quick access to the Lone Star Trail. The non-electric sites on the west side of the lake are right next to the water and the lake trail. I could see the lake from inside the back of my camper van. Park hosts were friendly and even delivered firewood straight to our campsite at a reasonable price. Only complaint was the lack of Covid-19 signage in the park. Without signs, people simply don't care, and it was disappointing to see people without masks going into public buildings like the bathroom. I just timed my visits to go when they were empty but I shouldn't have had to do that.

My family used to go camping here in the 90s when I was young. The campgrounds are exactly how I remembered them, but the fishing is not as good. Besides the fishing, everything is amazing. We arrived with a reserved spot, but when we noticed it was very close to a neighboring spot, we asked to move to a different spot that was open, and the groundskeeper said it was no problem. We enjoyed hanging out at our spot and taking walks around the lake. Note: They discourage bringing your own firewood, so if its a cold night, and you need beefier logs, be prepared to pay a premium price. $5 got us about 5 scrawny pieces

The site was clean and tidy. The bathrooms were very clean. The host was friendly and very helpful. We had a blast, and we'll definitely be back!
