We love Doublelake!First time in lot 43, driveway was super easy to back into and didn't require much balancing but I needed to unhook to lower the tongue and raise the passenger side 5 inches. Great secluded yard for the pups but the septic smelled the entire stay.

The park is very clean and peaceful. All the camp hosts are great, very friendly and welcoming. We are definitely going back.

Pro: campground and bathrooms were very clean and maintained.Con: campground host let his Belgian Malinois dog run off leash the whole 5 days we were there. The dog charged us aggressively and threateningly twice, until I was nervous about walking in the campground. Please take care of this before someone gets hurt.

Love the park. Camp hosts are amazing. Sites have plenty of shade to help beat the heat. Bike trails are not for faint at heart but fun. One of my favorite parks.

Marshall and Toni were excellent camp hosts. They went far beyond what they should have. We will be returning in the future

Sites are clean and well-maintained. Other campers are courteous and considerate. No hot water at one of the facilities, but recent hard freeze caused plumbing problems all over the area so will cut some slack here. Didn't stay whole reservation due to incoming weather so pretty much just relaxed around the campsite and told lies with friends.

#43: We loved our experience with Double Lake. Our first visit was December 2020 and we fell in love with the Campground. February 2022 we returned to be even more impressed. The hosts were superior, attentive, and seriously committed to their roles as Hosts. Thank you so much Marshall and Toni. The place was well maintained and the restrooms were very well maintained. We didn't use the shower facilities. My husband has AT&T and only had a 1/2 a bar of service which was virtually no service. I had one bar on Verizon and I could receive calls but messages could take awhile to send or receive. Especially a picture. Overall this is a wonderful park and experience.

We love the woodsy spaciousness of this campground. The lake is awesome, non-motor boats only, quiet. Swimming is allowed. Awesome trail around the lake, biking trails; also in town is nice. A couple times a year they have organized bicycle races. There are sites that have full hookups on one side of the campground and on the other side of the lake are many tent sites with a community water source. In nearby Coldspring, there are a few shops, restaurants and a nice town square with a historic past in the county. On occasion there are car shows and parades with vendors around the square.

Campground was great. Quiet fairly secluded site easy hook up. somewhat sloped. Chilly night. Bathhouses were clean but in need of some repair and rather cold. Nice quiet stay, would like to have been able to stay longer.

Our experience at Double Lakes was enchanting! The lake is beautiful and serene. The walking trail around the lake was an easy and shady 1 1/2 miles, although their are other trails that are longer and more challenging. And there's plenty of off-road cycling. Bring your kayaks because the water is perfect! Most of the campsites are secluded amongst trees. The hosts, Kathy and Greg, made the experience extra special. They are friendly and knowledgeable. They make sure that everyone has a great experience!

The hosts here are second to none. We come to this campground often during the season and love every second of it. They are always keeping the place clean. They always remember us, too! They are always ready to.answer questions and help where they can. The campground is well appointed with clean water, clean sites, and lots to do for young and old alike.
