Great camping and swimming area. This is a very peaceful campground with lots of trails.

Spacious shaded spots are great. Spot 36 could use some leveling. Park is clean and quite. We heard highway traffic while outside but it wasn't a deal breaker.

My family loves coming here. The camping areas are spacious and well taken care of. We do wish that the playground had more activities for the littles. The lake is easily accessible. There is plenty of hiking trails and shade galore.

One of my favorite places to camp...great campsites, clean and well maintained park, excellent park hosts!

We had a wonderful time at this little hidden treasure! The park was pretty well kept- it is an older park and of course there are always little things that could be improved, but overall, very nice! We loved the way the camping spaces are far apart! The few people staying in the park were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed hikes through the forest and the wildlife we experienced. Our choice of going in December meant that the weather was cold and wet, but that was our choice. Overall, we were very pleased with the stay and plan to go back!

Beautiful spacious sites. Nice individual bathrooms. Great camp host. It can be difficult to back into some sites because of ditch erosion (site 37).

The campground was beautiful and well kept. Our host, Pat and Eileen were super friendly and helpful and the driveway was level and easy to back into. We had sever weather threats one night and Pat came to each campsite to let us know. The water and electric were both good and well located. We stayed 7 nights at site 36 in a travel trailer.

Beautiful. Quiet campground

The park was very nice. If it wasnt so cold when I was there I would have done more that just walking around the campground. Not to much with trails since I have 2 dogs. Bathrooms were cleaned daily and the rangers patrolled. Id love to go back again in warmer weather

An exceptional balance between the natural environment and park features that enable camping (in my case RV camping). A heavily forested park surrounding an attractive lake.

The park is serene and beautiful. Time moves slowly and listening to birds and other animals makes everything seem magical. I love the serenity and quiet the park provided.

The campgrounds are phenomenal and the park itself is quiet. There is plenty of space between sites to rest and relax without hearing your neighbors. I enjoy the lake and enjoy paddle boarding. The water is clean and full of fish. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. Overall this facility is wonderful and great for a family get away.

Most enjoyable scenic and serene facility that should appeal to the forest lover with several trails for short hikes around a lake.

This is the second time I've been here. Park was close to full the 1st night (Sunday before MLK holiday), but cleared out on Monday. Quiet park after that until the mulchers showed up on Tuesday and stirred up the leaves, etc. Then Tuesday night a mouse made his way into my travel trailer! Other than those 2 things, I like the park and the trails were nice except for all the downed trees due to wind or storms across the trails. We will return someday!

This is park is a good place for a getaway with a mix of no hookups, electric only with community water spigots, as well as electric/water sites for camping. The sites appear to be pretty level and vary in sizes. The restroom/showers were very clean and the host very helpful.Walking trails are very nice, clearly blazed with markings and the park and trails are clean.Enjoyed our stay there despite road noise from the highway close by and would go back again.

Big campsites, clean bathrooms. Perfect for big families. We will be back. We did see quite a bit of poison ivy and fire ant mounds so keep an eye on your little ones.

My niece and I showed up in the early afternoon on a Saturday and there was no park ranger to be found. There is no ticket booth or an attendee to take in credit/debit cards, checks, or cash. For entry, there is an envelope you fill with the cash for all the recreational amenities you'll be partaking in, for however many nights, and then you fill out the attached form to place on your rear-view mirror. **Please note: Bring the exact cash and bring a pen!** If all else fails, there is a close by gas station that can make change out of your $20's, in addition to your munchies or supplies that you may have forgotten. However, it is a small gas station, so please do not expect a whole lot. After we successfully completed the entry requirements, we set up camp and enjoyed our evening and morning together at the beautiful park. It was very quiet and peaceful at night. It was in the middle of winter, so my niece and I made sure we were supplied with a lot of things that helped us stay warm. The bathrooms were clean, trails were well-maintained. I would definitely go to Ratcliff Recreation Area again.
