Nice and quiet. Clean restrooms. Excellent hiking trails. The two and a half hours it takes to get there are well worth the trip!

The place was lovely. The sites are large, wooded, and fairly separated. We had two sites - one with water and electric hookups, one with electric only. Even with quite a few campers in the park, it seemed peaceful. The bathroom/shower units were clean. They need more of them, though, to service all the campers.

Happy to have facilities mostly clean and stocked during govt shutdown so we could use. Light fixtures in the shower rooms in Dogwood loop need attention so lights work all the time in all 4 rooms. Fans dont work when lights dont come on and thats a problem for showering. We had an enjoyable time there.

We really enjoy this spot; Its a nice place to camp. Some of the sites arent too close to the neighbors so thats nice. One thing we dont like about the Ratcliff Lake area are the hiking trails. Its basically just walking through tall trees and plants. There are zero points of interests and because of the are, no lookouts. Fishing is okay. We had luck a few years ago but not even one bite this year.

Very nice site. Water was a little far away but not too bad.

Beautiful place! Lots of beautiful trees, pretty lake. Good hiking trails. I camped 2 nights. Water was a bit far, so make sure you have a water hose extension. The fire ring was about 2 feet high, so the fire isn't as accessible as a typical fire ring. The campsites are spaced out fairly well. The restrooms were fairly clean, though people don't always clean up after themselves. The showers had great pressure and plenty of hot water. My camping experience was wonderful.

The park was beautiful and well maintained. The campsites were large. The camp hosts were very nice. My family and I will be back!

Beautiful, generally quiet, low crowd campground. Staff and camp host are friendly and helpful. Nicely spaced sites with plenty of shade. Each site has a table and steel fire ring with grill bars. Dogwood loop is for RVs or tents. Each site has power and water access is generally available along the roads and at many individual sites. Bathroom/showers are adequate and fairly clean.

Really enjoyed the quiet of the park. The trails are beautiful, but the bridges could use some work.

Great campground with decent bathroom facilities, good hiking trails, and nice spacious campsites. Can bike on the roads but was told no bicycles were allowed on the trails although the signage only indicated no motorized vehicle were allowed.

This is a lovely campground with a east Texas feel. The sites are large and open, but the park is really not that large. We camped near the lake the first time, but it is a bit of a hoof to the bathroom. The second time we were closer to bathroom, but still nice sites.

Sites are very large, and well separated. Nice combo of campers and RV'rs. The lake has a couple of docks to fish from. Shoreline fishing requires hip waders or more. We have a large Class C, and Google maps brings you in to the park through some fair condition roads. We took SR 7 West to I-45, on the way home. Much better route. Several activities within easy drive from site.
