The camp hosts were great! Quiet, clean, well spaced out. Hot water and showers in the bathrooms. Will definitely go back.

Beautiful scenery, walking trails are full of different plants and critters to view. Well marked and clean. Bathrooms were well maintained. Will definitely be returning in the future!

I have done a lot of camping and this is by far one of my favorite places to go in Texas. Campsites are clean and well spaced out. The staff does a great job up of keeping campers updated on potential hazards. I was able to fish unbothered by other campers, there were water stations throughout the national forest that helped in the middle of the summer. Also, plenty of space for animals if you have a dog. Will be back very soon.

The lake itself is very pretty with tall trees all around. The campsites are not too close to each other and we liked the fire pit and table set up. The sandy tent-pad was also very appreciated.Hiking on the 4C trail cuts through trees that are around 60-80 years old I'd say. Cute, but not remarkable.A staff member told us about the trees and the history of the mill that used to operate there, which we enjoyed. The nearby towns are convenient to stock up on supplies, like more wood, and grab a bite to eat.

The campsite was nice but half of the restrooms were out of order, this caused long queues for them.

This is a well maintained, beautiful little park. The tent sites are spacious and most are right on the lake. The bathrooms were clean and in good shape. Plenty of access to potable water. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the noise. The road noise from Highway 7 is awful, and nearly constant. Also, there is not much, if any, enforcement of quiet hours and no information about who to contact after business hours. Essentially, if you are looking for peace and quiet, especially at night, this is not the place.
