There were a few confusing items, like we were told by phone that they had 50 AMP, fact is Ratcliff is 30AMP only. They were kind enough to move us to a Host site with 50 AMP, it was a good thing cause it got in the 20s. Also, we noticed several campers in the wrong camp sites which angered a lot of people to relocate. Noticed people just showing up & picking campsites, didnt appear to pay for, there was no park rangers available or on site, so people just did what they wanted to. Not even a park host available. Kinda sad.

Beautiful campground for December. I liked the tall pines, oaks, sweet gums and other trees. Nice trails, well marked.

Beautiful place to stay, however, the fact there is no sewer hookup was a huge negative for us. And the shower house was a mud slop

When we visited this park, there was hardly anyone there. It was so peaceful and quiet. There is great fishing and plenty of deer to watch. The bathhouse in our area of the park was run down and the lights didn't work in one of them. But the park host said to drive up to the one at the far end of the camp. It was so much better and I didn't mind the drive since there were more deer to watch on that end. We will be back!

There was no campground host or anyone checking on the camping area, that we were aware of. Beautiful campground, lots of tall pines. Electric and water at the site. Very quiet

Lovely campground with water and electric in the Dogwood Loop. Sites were gravel and easy to get level. Biking in the campground was fun. We were dodging intermittent showers, so didn't get to explore the hiking trails. Views of the water were pretty.

Not all of the restroom/shower rooms were unlocked. Shower rooms had no heat in December. Many sites had no water hookup, many sites required more than one hose to reach the water hookup. Trails were well maintained. Sites were spacious and well shaded.

Ratcliff Lake is a great camping experience. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. We stayed in our 27' travel trailer in campsite 15, which had water and electric. It was long enough to accommodate bigger rigs as well. It was somewhat unlevel, but not terribly so. Some of the campsites do not have water and electric or the water spigot is quite a distance from the campsite. We enjoyed our stay, as always.

Take me to the Trees Please? Davy Crockett National Forest is a place to return to, for sure. Ratcliff Lake was a nice, quiet place to camp.

Nice campground and facilities. Host was super! We stopped to ask about where to get firewood and he offered to give us some - and offered to bring it to our site! So accommodating.

We love this campsite. Restrooms are the cleanest we've ever seen. Camp host is friendly and helpful. Peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the woods and hiking trails. We also enjoyed our trip to Lufkin to the Texas Forestry Museum.

The park was well maintained and the restrooms were cleaned everyday. We enjoyed hiking the many different trails and the lake views. People were fishing in the lake and everyone who visited us commented on how quiet it was. Lufkin isnt too far and we enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Eve service at First Baptist Church.

The park is clean. We have been many times for day use which is why we decided to come back for camping. We really didn't have much fun this trip but not the fault of the campground. I don't know if we will camp here again - but will come back for day use.

We enjoyed our stay. We did not have electricity or bath house for the first 3 days due to a snow, but after that it was great. Camp host was very nice.
