Pleasant camping area. We love this car camping recreation area as its a couple hours away and have returned year after year. Lots of trees which make it cooler for the daytime. Plenty of trails nearby. A lake to paddle and swim in. Sure wish there were no motored watercraft allowed in this cove. Issues that should be addressed; Some of the bathrooms need repair. Too many invasive plants taking over. Common courtesy for all campers; ~Be respectful of others. Screaming children dont make a peaceful experience. There are outside voices and there are come get me, Im in peril voices. We are not at a ball game a bullfight or a cage match. Teach your children they dont have to holler all their waking hours. ~Adults, why does your conversation get louder as the sun goes down and you are sitting around a hot (in the summer!) campfire? Jesus! ~Dont bring your dog if you cannot control their constant barking! Please keep them leashed. ~Running your car to charge your devices pollutes the air of everyone around you. Stay off your device, you are at a lovely lake and in nature, soak it in! Or bring a charger. ~No one wants to hear the loud music you are playing expect you! Lower the volume! ~Dont throw your garbage in the bathroom trash cans. Bring your own trash bags. There are dumpsters available on the main road.~Please dont throw your leftover food in the woods around your campsite. Others are renting the space after you and no one enjoys leftover food in the woods, except varmints. ~There is a ten oclock curfew. Quiet down and please dont run your generator (your music or your mouth) Most of us come to relax and leave the noise of the city behind. ~Its Mother Nature, show her some respect and love.

Love this campground. Great place to gather with friends. Lake is lovely. Unfortunately there are always late night partiers who wish to make sure the entire campground can hear their every word. Camp host should be enforcing the quiet after10 PM rule without me having to get out of my sleeping bag at 11 PM. Also, the boats that travel too fast in no wake zones should know better. Wish the shower/bath house in loop B could be in working order. Same condition as last season :{

Great to see the end of the season at JR. Best sites right on the lake and so quiet. Managers are great!

Still wish that A loop would remain open through the end of the season even if it meant closing C loop. There seems to be more RV campers than tent campers in October and A&B loops are best suited for RVs while still being great for tenters too.

This place is absolutely stunning. The lake is beautiful and the camp is extremely clean. Highly, highly, highly recommend this place. Only thing I would say is that the sites are separated well, but neighbors are extremely loud. Generators, kids, loud people...the area is an echo chamber and any noise is amplified.
