Fishing was good! Bass and Hybrids! Fished from a kayak. Most enjoyable. Great biking trails, one of the best trails I have ever rode. Helen Georgia was a great day trip.

This was a great campground. The host was extremely kind and helpful. I will be back next year for sure. Planned to stay a day and ended up staying for longer than a week.

Campground is excellent. Nice spaces but generator rules are not enforced. Some campers next to us ran their generators all day.

Absolutely wonderful. We stayed at site #29. Beautiful combination of sun and shade. Park was very clean and neat. The host was friendly and accommodating. We will be back.

Beautiful well maintained campground situated on the shores of Lake Chatague. Kayaking is a must as well as bike riding! Our Labs enjoy the lake too. Just miles from Hiawassee, Blairsville, Clayton in GA and Franklin, Murphy, Bryson City in NC. Lots of scenic drives and waterfalls close by. Many delicious restaurants in the area to enjoy. You can rest and relax or stay as busy as you like at this campground.

NO trash cans throughout the camp,
One shower was disfunctional and was NOT signed to inform campers, even after notified,
Other shower was very nice, perfect temperature and clean,
Sites are carefully laid out, very well,
Host did not greet, check us out or post names on the campsite sticks,
A very nice campground, overall, I will return with my 16' travel trailer

RVers beware - this location enforces a generator restriction that is NOT disclosed prior to making your reservation. I have no problem with a campground deciding they don't want generators, but that should be clearly communicated BEFORE campers make reservations and arrive at the desintation, not after. Recreation.gov is great about sending reservation confirmation emails with "know before you go" information specific to your destination. There is nothing disclosed about Jackrabbit Mountain having a generator restriction. We had reservations for the whole weekend, in blazing summer heat and humidity. Campground host knocked on our door after we'd been setup for a couple of hours and said we had to turn off the generator. We spent one sweaty, miserable, night and broke camp to leave early the next morning. Pretty campground with lots of trails, but we didn't get to enjoy any of it. Recreation.gov agreed with us about the site not disclosing their rules in advance, and refunded the balance for our trip. Hopefully they will revise the information for this particular site to include the generator restriction rules so this doesn't happen to other RVers.
