The campground was well cared for, clean, bathhouses clean, showers warm/not too hot. The view of the lake beautiful. Campers were quiet and friendly. The host was discrete in checking on things. The swim area had showers inside and out and was welcoming to very small children in shallow areas up to deep water swimming. There were signs of civilization, few stores, no restaurants or sources of packaged food. Bring it all. This place is for active happy people who dont sit around. Bikers, hikers, kayakers, walkers, and swimmers. No commercialized golf carts or much of anything motorized.

This was the most gorgeous campsite I've ever stayed at. I highly recommend reserving a site that's right next to the lake.

Quiet, clean, beautiful. The lake is right there to swim. And then the kids can ride bikes around the campground and the mountain bike trails.

If you are into mountain biking, this is a great place to combine MTB with camping. Camping sites are very good and facilities are kept very clean. No water or electricity at campsites but very nice bathrooms and showers at nearby shower house. Trails from beginners to advanced. Will return asap.

This is a fantastic campground. The camp host is extremely helpful and friendly. The sites are fairly private, the bathhouses were really clean, and the lake is beautiful. The mountain bike trails at Jackrabbit Mountain are great for all skill levels. Our 7 and 10 year old loved it and my husband thought they were fun as well. We have already booked another stay for September. There are no hook-ups in the campground so if youre in a camper just be prepared. This is one of our favorite campgrounds now in the Carolinas now.
