Overall its a great location with water access. The bathrooms could be cleaned more frequently and restocked with toilet paper which ran out a few times.

This is a fabulous place for families, especially with kids and its become a summer tradition. This time we had our grandkids a large friendly dog, 5 kayaks, 6 bicycles, 2 adjoining campsites, our own beach and friendly camp-neighbors. The camp hosts were easy-going, welcoming and kept the whole site well. The lake is beautiful. Only down side is that Friday nights are a noisy party scene with the loud boats that come too close to the camp shoreline. Campers were all respectful of quiet hours - boaters? not. Overall, its a great place and well return.

Very pretty location, nice sites, clean and spacious. We were expecting to meet the Host Couple, but they came to welcome us or get us registered. We saw the gentleman riding by our site once each evening, waving as he buzzed past. We suppose he was busy elsewhere throughout the day and maybe the only one working all week. The facilities were really nice as was the beach area. We appreciated the efforts made to make Jackrabbit Mountain Rec Area a comfortable vacation location.

Absolutely love the campground. Beautiful scenery. But if you want the best sites you will have to do it way in advance but it is totally worth it!

Great campground. We are going to make this a yearly camping destination. Nice access to hiking and biking trails and the lake. Camp host was great too and provided good knowledge of area and access to firewood. Hiawassee, GA is about 10-12 minutes away so there is easy access to grocery store and other essentials. Highly Recommended.
