The camp hosts were very friendly, the sites were clean and pretty level. We went into Helen for July 3 - it was very busy, but fun. We hiked the second day on the trails at Jack Rabbit and they were very well marked and maintained. The bathrooms were ok on the cleaning and well stocked, needed soap. Overall, we would be very happy to come back for a longer stay. Beautiful lake and area.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Jackrabbit Mountain Campground! The host was helpful in making sure we found our way to our campsite upon arrival. We appreciated all of the amenities that the campground offered; hot showers, restrooms, etc. There was no hand soap in the restrooms so definitely make sure to bring your own, and there is a small bench in the shower room for placing clothes, towel, etc; my husband and I ended up pulling a camping chair into the shower room for added space, because with a one year old, we needed more dry space to place our clothes. It is a family friendly and dog friendly environment. When making the reservation I was afraid that the hiking trails would be too easy for us, but the trails were fairly moderate in difficulty for hikers. The hike itself boasted glorious views of the lake, beach, fields, and forest. Our view from campsite 65 in loop B was beautiful! We woke up every morning to a view of the lake, and with the trees changing colors at this time of year it was an enchanting view. Check out was made simple by reserving online and the host was kind enough to ask us about our stay. We will definitely be returning to Jackrabbit Mountain in the future!
