We enjoyed our stay. It was nice that each loop of camp sites had their own bathhouse which were clean and in good condition. We really enjoyed the quiet time hours the quiet outdoor evenings. It was a nice safe place for our children to play next to our site.

We've tent camped at this campground twice. We enjoyed both of our visits. It is a very nice campground with a fantastic location and it gets *A LOT* of use. Despite the amount of traffic, the campsites and grounds are generally clean. Both times we've booked, we have only been able to reserve our electric site on the Sycamore loop. Sycamore is convenient as it is the first loop in the campground and appears to be a smaller loop than others. Be aware some Sycamore loop sites (especially 1, 2, and 3) are fairly exposed to noise related to the nearby campground entrance, can be visible to passing traffic, and the light pollution from the campground entrance can be an annoying distraction to some as the lights are on all night. Some campgrounds use directional lighting, a hedge, or a fence (yuck!) to address visibility and light pollution issues - we used a tarp which helped some.Campers should also be aware that the Sycamore bath house has 1 male and 1 female bathroom; both provide 1-bathroom stall and 1-shower stall. Because of the proximity of this campground to nearby hiking trails and the small size of the bath house, bath houses are sometimes unavailable to campers because of hikers. During one trip our bath house was occupied for about an hour by a hiking party unassociated with the campground. Bath houses are ok; could sometimes use a bit better cleaning. Never had a need to contact a campground host, but folks at the entrance have always been very nice and helpful. We'll be back.

Have been visiting many parks in the southeast for past couple of months and Davidson River was hands down the best. The park is scenic and meticulously maintained but more importantly the employees were the finest group of people I have run across in a long time. Kind helpful and hard working

Everything was perfect. Very close to the places we wanted to visit. Would definitely stay again.

The potable water filling station at the dump station was broken. Showers were lukewarm, at best, which when you dont have a water hookup is a big downside.

Enjoyed our trip except for a couple days of rain but the campground staff were excellent.

Easy in and out...nice level spot and power hook up was good to go. Wish they would open back up fully and get back to normal.

Great campground excellent location. Unfortunately, we have an RV that can be set up very quickly.
We are able to drive where we want to go during the day and quickly set it up once we return to our campsite. We had enough fire wood for the weekend, a welcome Matt, and two homemade wood ramps, for leveling the RV, at our sight along
With the reservation placard publicly displaying the sight was reserved.

Upon arriving back at our site our campfire wood had been taken along with the wood leveling ramps. Remarkably the Campground manager knew who took the wood and. ramps. It was common knowledge,
Knowledge that campfire wood may be stolen.

I suggest that perhaps management be trained to offer respect to those that choose to leave for a few hours to enjoy a water fall hike that they could put public awareness signs up and include in the reservation documents that if a site is reserved and there is no one present to respect the site and itโ€™s content/s until the reservation ends or the person who has paid the lot lease offers their belongings to whomever they choose. Will never be back

Very nice campground. World class mountain biking, hiking, dirt road riding available right from the campground. Very nice staff. $8/small bundle of wood seems a little steep. Sycamore loop has electricity and we used a small space heater in our van to keep warm. Bathroom shower is free but a royal pain to use the men's one as you have to keep the button pushed in or the water shuts off. Women's bathroom was better - push in the button and water would run for longer. Water wasn't particularly warm though. No adjustment available. Toilet was leaking water onto the floor in the men's bathroom. Bathroom was clean every time I used it. Some of the other loops look to have more modern bathrooms (but not all of them). Nice flat sites with small rock tent pads, paved drives and paved loops so easy to keep your rig clean.

Love the Camp ground entrance person Kim ( I think that's her name). So nice and helpful. Leaves were beautiful too.

We always love staying at the Davidson River Campground. We did have to evacuate our site one night because of torrential rain that flooded our site. It is also getting very difficult to secure a reservation at Davidson River Campground anymore.
