Davidson River Campground is a well-run facility with many amenities for families. Good hiking trails, great fishing, and a fun river to float.

Always a great experience here. Clean sites, including fire ring. Restroom was clean, stocked with TP. Informative staff at the gate.

Amazing experience all around! Great campsites, very well kept trails across the property, and all of the campsite staff was very friendly and helpful.

I can't say enough good things about Davidson River Campground! The location's ideal, the grounds impeccable, and the staff is truly committed to the satisfaction of guests. I also appreciate the park has loops that don't allow RV generators. This encouraged a nice, quiet stay.

Ive been going to DRCG for 30 years and always have had a very good experience. With age and increase users the bathrooms could use an update and increase the number of toilets. I normally stay on the Popular Loop.

Friend tried to join us for one night. Online reservations requires two nights. Even though lots of sites available would not allow drive up reservations

People working the gate and throughout the campground are absolutely the friendliest and most helpful staff we have ever encountered in any recreational area.
Campground is in a lovely setting.

Davidson River Campground is an excellent facility and beautiful location. Easily one of the most family-friendly spots for an extended stay.

Excellent campground with large sites, clean restrooms and hot showers. Campground is close to town, trails and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I look forward to returning.

We just returned from a 7 day tent camping trip at Davidson River campground .We have been camping here for over 30 years and really love the beauty of the mountains and river. Our kids and now grand children love it as well. Now as travel has changed due to the Covid-19 virus we were happy to see the front gate check in staff wearing masks and making the check in easy. But the shared bathhouses at the campground seemed overlooked in changes. Only a sign on the door stating 2 people at a time and ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK ! No extra cleaning procedures and letting campers use the one small sink for personal hygiene...How can brushing teeth and spitting in the sink be sanitary to wash your hands behind ? I feel a sign posted over sink should say Hand Washing only !!! NO PERSONAL HYGIENE Allowed !!! Provisions for this can be done on the campsite. We think this could be greatly improved so campers can have a wonderful camping experience everytime at this BEAUTIFUL place !

The staff is always very polite and helpful. The facilities are kept clean and sites have always been neat.
