Excellent campground. We stayed in the 'no generator' loop, and were very happy with the location and the quiet. The campground is beautiful, and well worth a visit. Staff were very helpful and informative. Bathroom (on our loop, at least) was clean and well stocked. And the shower was actually warm!Highly recommended

Great campground with large sites and plenty of nature to enjoy. Only con is that Poplar Loop does not have a camp host. There was an issue in the bath house after hours which needed attention and we could not contact anyone. Not good.

Great location. On site access to lots of great hiking trails. The swimming hole is perfect. Tubing down the river from the swimming hole to the south of the site takes about 45 minutes which was great. 5 minutes from a Walmart but only trees and forest till then because it is on the boarder of the national park.

I camp here each year and love the campground. The only thing negative about it is that when I went on line to reserve my week on the first available day the sites were almost all gone. The site I booked was not my first choice, but it was still in the loop I wanted. The camp staff are helpful and I will continue to camp there. The hiking trails in the area are the best.

Breath taking surroundings in the campground. Five minute drive takes you to one of the coolest mountain towns in the country!

Great campground! Decent-sized, shady site with lots of tree separation between neighbors. Fire ring and picnic table. (We opted for a standard non-electric site, but there are ample electric ones available too.) Excellent hot shower in the bathhouse, which was very clean. Fantastic trails for hiking and biking. And the river is lovely. Firewood is expensive in the local area and at the campground. That is my only quibble.

We always have a wonderful time at Davidson River! Campsites are all wooded and private!

We were on polar loop and it was really quiet and peaceful.
