Ive camped there for many years. Campground is closing for 6 months of renovations. Very much looking forward to next spring to see what got done and during the renovations and start enjoying camping there again

Ive been camping in Poplar for many years, starting 30+ years ago with my children. And Im looking forward to many more years. I know it will be closed for renovations this winter/spring and although I enjoy the rustic facilities, its ready for a refresh. The staff is helpful and friendly and they too are excited about the improvements. See you next year !

Nice campground with adequate space between campsites. Good easy or technical bike riding and same for hiking. Just minutes from Brevard with groceries, restaurants, bars and just about everything you might need. After camping here for over 50 years Im looking forward to the upgrades coming this winter. Quiets down in the evening for a peaceful nights sleep

Excellent campground - Clean showers and restrooms, helpful gate staff, nice location, weak or no phone signal, and safe environment. Many of the site driveways are not level at all.

We love camping here and cannot say enough good things about Davidson Campground and the surrounding area. There is so much to do, close proximity to the parkway, waterfalls and trails. It’s wonderful! πŸ™‚

Was great as usual, lovely spot and staff was very helpful. Take note if youre camping on a Monday night: dumpsters throughout the campground are apparently emptied early Tuesday morning, and the process is long and loud. Not quite sure why this happens during quiet hours, but it does.

Great campground - been going here for 25+ years. Restrooms are generally clean, hot showers, maintained well. Sloppy people make messes at times, but great place.

Fairly quiet, no bear problem - very pleasant.

As one who has been coming here for 30 years, this campground has declined from its glory days. Although wonderfully situated among pristine forests, trails and nearby Brevard, the campground facilities have fallen into disrepair. The bath/shower facilities are shabby and poorly maintained. The roads are broken in places. There is a sense that very little money and effort are put into improving facilities that naturally degrade over time. Instead, just enough attention is paid to keep things functional...barely. The place is being neglected, and it shows.

Beautiful Campground, but if you camped at another national or state park dont expect the check in or reservation process to be the same! Everything here has to be done as a reservation on the app (COVID ) and there is no signal in the park! I missed out on a second nights stay because I couldnt pay for another site at the park.

Our campsite was clean and easily accessible. Bathrooms were very clean but the only complaint is the one stall shower. So you have to wait a while for a shower. There are endless amount of trails, waterfalls and sights too see. We are planning on going back every year. Also local small towns to visit and shops to explore.
