I loved everything about this campground. The sites are kept immaculate. Everything is clearly marked. All the restrooms were in good working order with hot showers. Really enjoyed hearing the river behind camp every night while I went to bed. I also really loved having access to trails directly in camp, it made it a great place for me and my three dogs. I would say the one drawback in my opinion is that there is nowhere to wash dishes if you are tent camping. I guess the reason is because there are so many bears in the area although we never saw any, but I did hear that they came into other peoples camps on a nightly basis. Just dont be stupid and leave out stuff that attracts bears. Also, the staff were great. Always willing to help and answer any questions. Im actually going back in four weeks because this part of North Carolina has stolen my heart.

We love camping near the river for easy access to the long hikes along the river's edge. Paths are well-maintained. Swimming is enjoyable in the swimming hole, and depending on the level of water, many float down the river on tubes. There are plenty of sitting rocks on the side of the river, and we love to wade out with our water shoes to the middle for some rock sitting. The layout of the campground is perfect for biking. We come back over and over.

I've been camping at the Davidson River with my son for 12 years and I love it. It's near several beautiful waterfalls and hiking trails. My only complaint is the outside lights on the bathhouses. They are too bright so I would avoid camping near any of the bathhouses.

Nice campground. Seems to attract a good bit of younger people wanting to drink and play music late into the night. It wasnt really a problem but definitely could turn into one. We stayed on the riverbank loop and the shower/bathrooms could desperately use a refurbishment. Overall positive experience

We had a great spot right by the river you could hear at night. Staff was nice and bathrooms were kept clean. Very close to great hiking spots and the Blue Ridge Parkway. 10/10 would visit again

Beautiful, large campground (actually, several individual camps within the larger one) along the Davidson River in Brevard. Nice trails along the river, and good trout fishing. Many trails go far into the woods on the slope behind the campground for longer hikes. Bathrooms were clean and some had showers. Was fairly full for a weekday in Oct, but due to COVID, many people are mobile. Short car ride to grocery store, restaurants, brewery, civilization.
