Sites were plenty long for our 42 coach plus tow vehicle. Staff was friendly. Theres no water at the sites but water fill stations are available. Stop at the ranger station just down the road for helpful information and maps for hiking and waterfall sightseeing.

Great campground. Quiet during quiet hours, clean bath houses, close to river - wonderful!

Davidson River left us with the feeling or a camp ground in neglect. Here are just a short list of reasons why-

Only one dump station.
Non existent internet and terrible if any cell coverage.
Our bath house had a faucet that had broken and repaired with 2 screws through the handle and the bath stall door was repaired similar.
The 110 outlet on our site did not work. I called the camp ground # and only got voice mail. I left a voice mail and 5 days later still no repair.
The grass in our loop looking like it had been weeks since cut or trimmed.
Piles of cut up trees and debris everywhere. Some from the flood, some not. That definitely gave us a feeling of neglect.
The only positives were the staff. Courteous, friendly and always doing something- not siting around.

I stayed for 5 nights the week after the campground suffered a catastrophic flood. They already had it cleaned up and ready to go. Friendly, helpful campground staff, clean restrooms and showers, conveniently situated to many great hikes as well as the town of Brevard, NC. An excellent facility that I have already recommended to several people and I recommend it to you as well!

There is NO water on any of the sites, but there is water available to fill campers or jugs. Overall we had a good time and we believe our experience was directly related to Covid, We can tell a big difference from the State Park System vs. the National Park System and funding. The loop we stayed on, the bath house had one female toilet and shower and one toilet and shower for the men. The loop was overgrown with poison oak and the park over all could use some ground maintenance.

Beautiful place to camp. Bathrooms/showers were super clean and staff was amazing. So much to do in the area as far as hiking, fishing, seeing waterfalls, sliding rock. A lot of space between camp spots and nice shady spots.

The campground was well maintained, organized, and the camp personnel were very attentive to the needs of the campers. I will be returning in the future and recommend this facility for anyone that enjoys camping and the great outdoors. The hiking trails are amazing!

Beautiful camping - even in winter! Even had a few snow flurries one night. Enjoyed the bike trail by the river! First time camping without water hook-up but was no problem with refilling since water was so close! Bathrooms are outdated but normal for state/national parks. Can’t wait to stay again!

This was a winter camping trip. Thanks for campground being open. Very hot showers. Campground host was very helpful.

Reservation system worked well however it would be good if we could make reservations less than the current 4 day requirement prior to stay.
