Our 2 day stay was hampered by tremendous rains, which is out of anyones control . . . but we feel that there could have been more gravel within the pad where our tent sat. Because the gravel was low, our site was a giant puddle and our tent sat in 2 inches of water for most of the time we were there. Due to all the rain/flooding we couldnt fish the River or take advantage of the numerous hiking trails, but maybe next time. The restrooms were nice in that they had warm water. And we liked the fresh water pump station near our campsite.

We have been camping here every summer for 18 yrs and have been so disappointed each year since the new management took over, but this year was the worst. I never saw a host! They are usually out cleaning sites and enforcing quiet times, generators, etc… Had a very loud group next to us til past midnight. Looked like a teen party visiting the site because most did not sleep there. Also hate that riverbend is now reservable. Grounds look terrible. Bathrooms not as clean and not in good working order. One of two toilets in bathhouse out of order, shower sprays at the wall. Overall, very disappointed in the upkeep.

We stay here every year and it is always a wonderful experience!! Hosts are always available if you need them but keep to themselves. Great ride in ride out campsite for mountain biking Pisgah and close to DuPont. Very close to town If you want dinner and supplies from the grocery store.

Great campground, no firewood avail though, that was a bummer, had to go up to the Bi-Lo
