Check in staff at main gate were very pleasant and helpful. Bathrooms didnt appear to be cleaned regularly.

Lovely, well run campground. Staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Excellent access to Pisgah Ranger Station and trails in the area. I spent some time fishing along the Davidson river which was beautiful. Highly recommended.

Great time at a lovely campground. Fellow campers were courteous and warm showers an absolute treat. Proximity to bike trails can't be beat!

Nice clean quiet campsite, I really enjoyed myself. Things that I did not care for was there was people smoking pot at the swimming hole. The bathrooms weren't that clean and one of the toilets did not work. Don't get me wrong it's Absolutely beautiful place.

We stayed in a Roadside Site because it was the only one available. We were concerned that it would be a "less than desirable" site. We were so wrong. It was site 133 and it was amazing. Personal path to brand new bath house, newly cared for tent site, and well maintained fire pit. You can't ask for a better stay. Thanks, Davidson River

Only one bathroom had a working heater. Hot water was working though. Firewood is terribly overpriced at the campground. You can get it much cheaper 2 miles away at the gas station. The company that runs this campground doesn’t appear to be doing anything to justify the fact that the sites at this campground are more expensive than the other campgrounds in the area.
On one night an RV pulled in at 2 am and decided to build a fire and sit around and laugh and talk until 3 am. Of course the hosts and the rangers aren’t going to do anything to stop it.

Great camping experience. We only stayed one night and were on a tent site. Campground was clean, quiet and well-maintained. All services/utilities were as advertised. Staff at the front gate were friendly and helpful. Good fishing destination, although can get a little crowded on the river at peak times. Stopped by the the Sierra Nevada Brewery to fill up growlers on the way home. Would definitely recommend this campground and plan to return.
