I like the walking path to the brewery although there isn't much shade along the way.I like hearing the river during the night and listening for owls. There was a raccoon that jumped onto the picnic table but I always totally clear my foodstuffs when finished so a clap of hands scared it off.

The location of the campground is amazing. But having camped here for many years, the condition & cleanliness of the bathrooms has significantly deteriorated over the past 4-5 years. Additionally, the camp sites are more overgrown with poison ivy & weeds so your usable space is reduced. Lastly, the is zero WiFi anywhere (the overflow parking lot WiFi NEVER works). They blame it on Comporium (the internet provider), but other local businesses have excellent service from them. Its 2023 to have not invested in a decent WiFi network for the campground at this point is piss poor & out of touch with camping needs. You cant even pull a weather report to know when serious weather is approaching. The Davidson River & Pisgah National Forest are absolutely beautiful. We can only hope those running the campground will bring it up to a better level these amazing natural resources deserve.

As always, had a great time camping for a week at Davidson River Campground. I have made many wonderful memories here over the years. It is the most beautiful place, great location, close to many other beautiful places for day trips. Thanks again for making my birthday special!!

Camp hosts were very nice to deal with. RV pads were a bit narrow but easily accommodated our 24 foot Class C. Sites were well set up with pads for tents and RVs. Restricted hours for noise made for great sleeping. Great trails for walking, hiking. Very convenient location near town.

As always, enjoyed our time a great deal. Little disappointed the white pine has not been cleaned up yet. Other then that it’s still the best campground in WNC.

Always nice to enter and camp at Davidson River Campgrounds. The staff are always welcoming, keeping the facilities sparkling clean, and the area has lots of offerings for fun, entertainment, and natural beauty.
