Our extended family has stayed at Davidson River for a long weekend once a year for many years. We enjoy our time spent together with meals and campfires at night. We have a few 'littles' who enjoy riding their bikes around the loop. We appreciate that most drivers seem to be vigilant and watch for them as they go through the campground.The only problem we experienced this year concerned the bathroom in between the Dogwood and Apple Tree loops. One side of the restroom was closed. The side that did work has a broken handle and is very hard to flush. I know we are lucky to have these places to camp (budget cuts are a concern) but in reality, a new toilet is needed. Thank you!

From the time you pull in to the time you leave the Davidson River Campground staff and experience is great. The entire campground is well thought out and always clean, can't wait till the return trip!

We have tried to stay at Davidson River each year for the past several. We had another great experience, easy pull through for our Class C and toad. Park hosts were friendly and environment with surrounding campers was chill.

Davidson River is the most awesome camp ground EVER. Sites are well groomed, bathhouses are conveniently located and well supplied. Volunteers & staff are professional & courteous. We could Not have had a better camping experience and look forward to many more adventures in the Pisgah Forest!!!

Beautiful area and within walking distance to so many great trails. Staff is incredibly helpful and polite. Bathrooms are very well maintained. Just a few minutes drive to many other trails and beautiful scenic areas. Works highly recommend to experienced and first time campers.

Campsite 75 was a good spot. Easy walk to either restroom facility in the loop, wish I could have stayed longer.

Love this campground, was disappointed when I entered this year to see the trees were taken down. I know it was a safety issue. I wished the brushed had been cleared and new trees planted it their place. We need to better fund our national parks, forest, and state parks!
