My husband and I camp at DR each summer with a group of 15+ friends. We start planning for the next trip as soon as it ends. DR is beautiful and is a great way to de-stress, unplug, commune with nature, and create memories with old and new friends. My only recommendation for improvement is the bathrooms beefs a little more attention - and guests need to remember to flush!

Davidson River is our favorite campground. We have been coming here for the past 5 years and staying in the Hemlock Loop. The sites are wooded and spacious, there are multiple nice bathhouses, and plenty of drinking water access. My wife loves to trout fish while I relax with a book by the river. The Brevard area is full of great hiking, mountain biking, waterfalls, and breweries.

This campground is awesome. Right on the river, private, and shady.

Tent camping was great! The tent pad was flat and the wooded site was nice and private for our family. Bathrooms were clean. The swimming hole looked like a lot of fun and the water was so clear! We found some beautiful rocks during our river walk. Check in and out was a breeze. There was also tons of firewood for sale at the front gate. We loved this campground and can't wait to come back when its a little warmer to enjoy swimming and sliding rock!

We have always enjoyed our time at Davidson River since our kids were small and are now getting to camp with our grandkids as well! We hope to be back soon!

The site was clean, and I was allowed to check in early. The check in system is now much more convenient. The bathroom on Hemlock loop is the best of all of the campgrounds I've been to. The weather was almost perfect. A short shower the morning I left kept me from taking home a dry tent, which is a rare occurrence anyway. My only complaint is there weren't enough hungry trout in the river.

we stayed in hemlock.123..bathrooms were clean, close and heated.
there was a lot of other campers but everybody was low key..
the river was close by and so beauitful to walk the trail in the am with our dog.
we will def be back soon and drove around to find a site close by with a little more privacy.

35 years in NC . 20 years in Emerald Isle. Best camping experience in mountains ever had. Sites facilities staff exceptional. 5 stars

We have been vacationing at this campground every year for more than 30 years. We have always enjoyed our visits. This year we particularly enjoyed our visit to the fish hatchery up the road. My granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the animal exhibits and feeding the fish was a delightful highlight!!
