Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bathhouse was in good condition and the shower was easy to use. We had a great time at the campground.

The manager Bryan is doing a great job. The camp ground is looking good, we go there 3-4 times a year and the grounds are really getting cleaned and they have been trimming roadside, and camp sites are well kept. Very nice staff working there very helpful.

Davidson River is a beautiful campground, part of the reason I have returned here since it opened in 1975. It is the perfect hub for adventures in the Pisgah National Forest or Brevard, Asheville, Hendersonville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Waterfalls and hiking trails are everywhere, and the campground itself is the perfect place to get exercise, whether walking or riding a bike.

I have been going to Davidson River for years. The location is very convenient to Brevard, NC. Recreation.gov is not the friendliest web site to book for camp sites. I had to move to four sites to get the dates I needed to stay and then with having to book those dates with different reservations, each morning I had to check out and recheck in. The sites I wanted with electric showed not available but there was no one on some of those sites. The bathrooms could use some paint and updated. With so many campers today, more electric sites would be great!!!Christal at the front gate is an excellent worker!! Friendly, professional and hard worker.

The staff is very nice.We have been going to Davidson River Campground for many years. It has slowly deteriorated since the new ownership Took over (5+ yrs?.) Campsites used to be very well-kept with brush and other greenery cut back but now they are overgrown and grass and weeds are growing up in the tent pads and the stone area of the campsites. Several areas throughout the campground looked overgrown and in need of a mower. We were told that the new owners wanted the natural look. We wonder if that is also the less expensive look. The amphitheater has gone to pot. The wooden seats were rotting out and it was terribly overgrown. The lighting on the way to the amphitheater was not working and bulbs were broken and light covers were on the ground or hanging off the posts. We used to attend activities there with our kids and it was such a let down seeing as how it has not been kept up. The Sealy Memorial Trail and graveyard is so overgrown you can hardly walk through it. At one point we just turned around and went back. The mens shower in our loop was not working well so we tried another loop and it wasnt working at all. When we informed the staff they said that they knew about it but that the forest service was supposed to fix it not them. Well That doesnt help The current campers who are there to enjoy whatever amenities the campground is supposed to offer. We appreciated the Wi-Fi that the previous owners had but the new owners have not put in any for the campers except at the overflow parking lot and that was not working half the time. If you dont know how great this campground used to be, you will enjoy it and have a nice experience. As for us, it was rather depressing seeing how they have let it go.

We love Davidson River! This is the second time we have made a fall trip there. The colors are beautiful in the fall. The campground is so close to hiking and biking trails and breweries.

Clean restroom & shower facilities. Sites level and electric service close to pad. Campground host very friendly and helpful. No ATT cell service. Used cell booster and was able to connect with tower in Brevard.

Past experience with staff has NOT been exactly pleasant...I had described those at the check in as rude and overbearing.. but surprised this last trip to see younger workers who were much more friendly when checking us in and out!! Also special kudos to the host on our circle!!! They worked their butts off mowing and making Sycamore circle neater. The bathrooms were immaculate... harder working hosts I have witnessed and very welcoming and friendly!!!
